Works very well, installation was a breeze. Going to get another for my jeep Gets great video. I Put a larger memory card in it. Comes with a smaller card that will work just fine. No real need to upgrade card
Simple to use. Small enough to not be a bother while driving. Always on. Records audio and video. Excellent quality video during the day and night. Installs on a swivel, so the camera can be turned around when interacting with someone, specially strangers, cops, etc. Locks the video files if there is an impact in the car. Can be pulled out easily to take pictures of the impact. Easy to download and watch the videos.
I just got this as a birthday present and it is perfect. I tested it with my daily commute and it worked farily well. It caught license plates of cars with relative ease and the speed displayed was quite accurate. On my way home it worked very good at night and had no problem. I drove on both brightly lit roads and completley dark roads and it picked up everything that I could see. The microphone is also very good and even picked up my singing. I would highly recomend this dashcam and it is worth spending the money on epsecially from a known company.
I bought the Garmin to replace another manufacturers product. This dash cam is so much easier to operate. Everything worked correctly right from the start. Easy installation - easy operation.
The Garmin Dash Cam works as advertised. It is easy to use and setup. I downloaded the video to my PC and it provided much better video than I had anticipated.The vehicle speed and GPS location, with the time and date displays at the bottom of the video. Other dash cams on the market may be cheaper, and/or offer more "bells and whistles", but if you need one that offers the required features with quality, this dash cam is a good value.
This worked just fine. In fact, this is my 2nd one. I bought the same one several years ago and it is still working. The only difference is my first camera does not have GPS. I purchased the 2nd camera to put in my back window. You would be surprised to see how fast tailgaters back off when they see a camera. Also, I believe a camera will make road rage drivers to back off and think twice. I initially purchased a low end brand which was a big mistake. Defective and I had to pay the return postage. I purchased thru Amazon and the seller gave me the run around for several weeks. My advice buy a high end product which Walmart and the manufacturer will stand behind.
This was a gift for Christmas. It came sooner than expected which was great.
I'm so excited about my camera. I've only had it a week, and I've felt so much more confident with the way I have proof with the way people drive so horribly. I LOVE IT!! And the size is perfect. Totally worth every penny!!
I recently purchased this item about 2 weeks ago and I am very happy with it. Previously I had purchased two cheap $60 dash cams via Amazon - the first one broke within 3 months and the second on broke the first day I had it. Down $120 in cheap dash cams I decided to invest in a more expensive one. The extra money is worth it. The dash cam is so easy use, I didn't even have to read the directions. Also, it's nice to know that your are backed by a good name brand Garmin in you have any product issues. Basically, the product does it's job - records footage of your drive in decent quality. I would recommend this product.
Product issue; not vendor. Received quickly, charged for 10 hours then tried to turn on. Not even a blink or glimmer. They agreed to accept return quickly, which I did today.
