Love how easy it is to use and download music. Love that I can keep track of my training. Overall great watch. Garmin customer service is awesome! Will only wear garmin watches
I love this!! I had a VivoSport before and I liked that one a lot but the band broke and was not replaceable. This watch is awesome. I am currently training to join the Army as an officer so Im working out multiple times a day and this watch is a lifesaver. I bought some replaceable bands off of Amazon for a great price and it take 5 seconds to switch it out. Super easy.
Great device! I purchased primarily for riding but never take it off. This is not my first Garmin device and probably not the last.
I originally bought the Forerunner 245 without music to try out and compare to my Apple Watch. Honestly it was an unfair comparison because the Forerunner is simply a superior watch for fitness activities. I don't miss the apps from my Apple Watch because I have them on my phone. And the accuracy and detail of running metrics delivered by this watch make owning it a no-brainer for the serious athlete. I exchanged it after a week for the music version and found it easy to add Spotify playlists to the watch, pair my earbuds and run without a phone for once. I felt free on my run and that's such a priceless feeling.
I never use to carry any gadgets for my run or fitness. Then I moved to some local fitness watch and used it for a year. I found all the data's were not precise and up to my expectation, that's the time moved Garmin. Now it is part of my body and there always to provide all healthy data's for me to make note and improve my running. It is simply amazing!
great so far, pleased with the choice. battery life is excellent when not using the music, i go several days without charging. Blue tooth to beats earbuds is better than my phone was. I like having the push buttons on the sides while running, it is easy. I have small wrist and it is small enough that it doesn't bother me. easy to read face. Negatives: like all these watches i have looked at, it requires a special charging cord that makes traveling a pain. Programming takes a bit as the writing is so small it is hard to read, but it actually has instructions. Additionally, i had to cut my music file size (previously using my phone and arm band), so i maxed it out with quite bit more music not on it.
The Forerunner 245 Music is far more complicated to use on gym fitness machines than my privious Forerunner 235 was. Programing Activities such as Treadmill Running, Stationary Bike Riding, and other equipment is almost useless.
I ran twice so far outdoors and, as you can see on the picture, my new Forerunner 245M it mark I ran many kms at 2:11 or 1:43min (those are the exampleals on the picture. Have more). And that didnt happen. The never happened with my ol Forerunner 15. I find hard now to trust very important stadistics from this Garmin (like time or distance). Bit disapointmen for the money i spent in it.
For some reason when I run it inflates the distance 20%+ on longer runs. Example : I ran a half marathon race that was 13.18 miles on an official and chipped coarse, my watch had me at 14.4 miles. Not my first Garmin product but the first time I am left extremely unhappy with garmin
I had a Garmin Instinct, and when new, it would last over a week to ten days. After four years, the battery life had deindled down to only two days. So i ordered this new Forerunner. Not sure if i got an old one or a lemon, but this brand new watch doesn't last two days.
