This product has revolutionized running. It makes it so easy to get very detailed information on each run. The reception is great (even works indoors because of windows!) and it is very accurate. This will take your running to another level. I had a previous model and this one blows it out of the water. I can speak to Garmin's durability. This is the 4th Garmin product I have owned and I have zero complaints and all of my products are still ticking.
I absolutely love it! Does way more than I expected and is very easy to use. I don't think getting the newest Version 405 would be worth the additional $100 compared to the 305. The only sinificant diffenrence that I can see is the 405 is smaller and has wireless syncing with computer. I use for both running and biking. It motivates to try to beat my previous times. No regrets.
I bought this for my son to track his training, he loves it. It is a great motivator. He likes the fact that he can use it for cycling, trail running or jogging.
It can be difficult to improve if you're running alone. This watch lets you race yourself graphically based on your last run. You can see if you're going faster or slower than your previous run on the same course. The heart rate monitor strap is comfortable and the watch comes with two bands so if you have big wrists like me you just switch the band with the included tool and you're ready to go. I would buy it again!
Being a Commercial Pilot I expect what most products cannot deliver. This does it all. No more guessing on my runs. I am a 100 a week miler and this GPS unit is absolutely unbelievable. Buy it and you will maximize your workouts!
i am an avid runner and had never used one of these before. i absolutely love it! Very easy to set-up and use. the watch is a little bulky for people with small arms like me but, i am not wearing it for fashion. It has really helped me with my training program. Takes the guesswork out completely.
I love that it is going to make my workouts much more effective! It tracks EVERYTHING I have been wanting to know, that I couldn't know before. I love everything about it!
I find myself working out longer and harder each time. I just wished it would calculate calories burned when just using the heart rate monitor function.
I owned the 205, but Walmart was good to me with the incredible price for the 305 Heart Rate monitor, it is real and makes the training more high tech...
If you do any consistent running, you need one of these! It tracks and constantly updates everything you need for your training and races. Pace, distance, time, speed, elevation, etc. You can have the device beep at you when you go slower or faster than a target pace. You can even run against a virtual partner! One of the BEST features of this product is the ability to upload your workouts to the Garmin website. From here the details go even farther! It will show your running route in a google map style presentation. You can also add notes to each run. The only down side is that the battery can run out if you don't plug it in after after 2nd or 3rd activity.
