This a great little unit. My daughter takes it everywhere. It is a big help when my country girl is in a large city. Now she calls to tell me that she got to where she needed to go and she didn't need my help.
One of my brothers gave me this same model about 3 years ago for Christmas, loved it. Now I am giving the same model to my brother to help him find his way around. Great unit to have, plus the savings.
This actually was a gift. But they were knowledgeable on gps systems & were quite pleased. I also did quite a bit of research & this was definetely a great price and did everything my brother-in-law needed it for!
This is my second GPS unit. This unit works well and is very reasonably priced. The voice command is loud enough to be heard even in a car full of people. The blue tooth function is very cool and works very well.
It is a 2 year old model, so the resolution is not really high like modern GPS devices. But considering this particular unit ran for $950 when it came out, you get the many features and 3 meter accurate maps for a very affordable price. The Bluetooth capability and phone pairing are very handy and make talking/driving MUCH safer and easier. Also, the touch screen is rather fun to play around with, and the unit responds fairly fast.
I have previously owned a Garmin Street Pilot GPS. I bought the NUVI 360 because it has street to street anouncements. It is very accurate and its easy to use. I have learned to trust it while traveling in unfamiliar cities and it has never disappointed me. It is small enough that you can remove it from the windshield mount and put in your pocket. It comes with its own carry case. I researched other brands TOM TOM and Magellan and I'm sure they're good. But if you want the best buy a Garmin.
I researched GPS units before buying, and I am extremely happy with this purchase. I did some testing of it, and although, it may not take me on the route I would take, it did get me through the country with NO problems at all. It seems fast to acquire my position, and the text-to-speach option is well worth it. Wal*Mart's price cannot be beat!
I'm a consultant for Tastefully Simple and I travel alot to peoples homes to do taste testing parties. My husband always worries that I'm going to get lost. Well, that won't be a problem anymore. My new Garmin will be able to get me anywhere I want to go. I literally took it out of the box and was able to use it. I was confused when reading about it online; although there is a battery within the system, you can plug the GPS into the plug in your car. After a little reading, you can set it to stay away from Highways & toll roads as well as dirt roads and work zones. We learned this on a trip to my in-laws (we were just testing it out); the GPS kept trying to send us one way when we wanted to go another. The Highway & toll road option was checked as an avoidance and the GPS kept trying to send us away from it. I finally figured it out and it worked perfectly afterwards. The verbal announcement of the roads and how far until you turn makes for easy driving and not having to look at the screen. Great product! Not to mention a great price!
Garmin Nuvi 360 is one of the best GPS. I am using Garmin product from last three years. Nuvi 350 and 360 are same except 360 has Blackberry feature. Very friendly talkative unit, direction is very easy to understand. If you miss the road, it takes care of you and immediately brings back on right road. The unit I bought from Walmart is less than half the price of the same unit I bought from Future Shop, Canada in December 2007. Walmart's services is excellent, I would recommend the GPS Nuvi 360 as well Walmart for your shopping. Great place!
It's an excellent system for the price. I had to spend 7 1/2 hours on the phone with the company uploading new maps & updating the system after all of that, it seems to be working wonderfully with one exception ... it seems to think my house is on the left when it's on the right. Other than that ... it's a great little system
