Great quality, heavy, sturdy, umbrella stand! I liked the first one I bought so much that I ordered a second one.
The 55 pound base was for a 10 foot umbrella. It was easy to assemble and (with some help) relatively easy for my wife and I to put in place. A very good and substantial product. Probably a little over-priced - but durable.
Finally!!!! A sturdy, decorative Umbrella stand that does the trick!! No more worries about strong winds knocking it over. WELL WORTH THE PRICE (which BTW is very reasonable.)
HEAVY! And, that's what you need!
Delivered a week early. Five minute set-up. Umbrella fit right in. We are using furniture sliders underneath on the patio ..... works great. Easily withstood 25 mile-an-hour gusts last week,!
Very stable and sturdy. Heavy enough to not worry about your umbrella being blown over. Looks good
Just exactly what we expected. Very heavy to keep umbrellas from blowing over. However, make sure the tightening screw to hold the umbrella in is very secure. On a very windy day, the stand kept the umbrella from blowing over but the wind pulled it right out of the stand! It was amazingly easy to put together. It took about 30 seconds!
This is a very substantial umbrella base. The umbrella is well anchored in the upright tube. The umbrella diameter that can be accommodated ranges from 38 to 48 cm diameter. The only issue is its weight--55 pounds is pretty hard to lug around.
Product description states this is for an umbrella up to 12 feet. Assembly instructions state the "Umbrella open diameter max. 8 feet". Due to its weight (55 lbs) and length of the support pole we feel comfortable using it for our 9 foot umbrella but want to point out this discrepancy. Also, we were very impressed with the company that offers this on Walmart's site. Our first stand arrived broken, obviously mishandled in shipping. A replacement was sent immediately and arrived yesterday. The four star versus 5 star rating is only due to the incorrect product description .
Just opened up the package to assemble the weighted base and found a broken part was included. I know it didn't break in route because the other piece isn't even in the box. It would be nice to have this part replaced but I'm not about to mail the entire weighted base back to the company for one little part that can be mailed to me.
