Microwave works great. Very good value for the money. Being a retired draftsman I think the GE emblem should have been centered on the door or the control panel and not across the front. Dose not effect how great it does work and the great value it is.
Looked around for a microwave and everyone kept recommending this brand. Overall the microwave is amazing. A lot better than my previous one. Totally recommend anyone to purchase this brand and commit to it for ever. Definitely going to look at other appliances to match the microwave .
I'm a single parent, and I don't have much time in the kitchen. And I certainly don't have time for kitchen appliances to fail. That's why I chose this GE microwave. I knew I can rely on this beaut and chose it over other brands I found at the local big-box store. Stop scrolling and put this GE microwave in your cart!
The turntable was a little smaller than I had hoped. The keypad should be backlit or something to use in low light areas. And the turntable is already making some strange noise. Otherwise standard microwave, was easy to install (no outside venting so very easy). Good microwave all things considered, especially for the (sales) price I got it for.
Same model I had before that gave us trouble several times. Not happy that the SAME model didn't use the same mounting bracket, didn't have the overhead screw holes in the same place, and I couldn't save the glass turntable plate because it was slightly too big.
This replaces my 20 yr old GE spacesaver microwave oven. Very similar. So far so good. Installation straight forward. Rear bracket Not standard from previous GE microwave. Required replacement and additional holes being drilled into back wall and under cabinets.
Installation instructions good. Product had manufacturing/assembly defect, Magnetron TCO connector was pinched and shorted to chassis. Caused main fuse to blow. Repair was eased by inclusion of wiring diagram located inside of control panel cover. Working well now.
Well, I love GE products and really try to stick with them, but this microwave has not been great from the get-go. It takes a lot longer to heat things up versus my old microwave and I've been hearing loud noises coming from the cord like the last four times I've used it and then today it will not heat anything up, so needless to say I am out of a microwave.
Had this absolute garbage microwave for a little over 2 years. Funnily enough the lightbulb went out after 2-3 weeks. Now my alphanumeric display has started flickering and is impossible to read. Strangely enough there are several videos online of people replacing the ENTIRE board. Strange that over FORTY THOUSAND folks have clicked on these videos, but GE doesn't know what the issue is. Pretty funny.
This is the 3 Rd microwave I've had in this model. The 1st one lasted 12 years we originally installed it during our kitchen remodel. The one I put in only 21 months ago( it didn't last 2 years!) the warranty is only one year. I replaced it again today and bought the 3 year extended warranty.
