I previously had a Kenmore drop-in range very similar. However, there are great improvements with this range. I love the touch controls. They're so much easier to operate, & much cleaner. The double-use burner is much easier, safer, & you can more easily determine which one you're using. MUCH SAFER design!!
Our new drop in looks beautiful in the space left by our 40-year-old drop in. The installation instructions were very clear. The stove and the oven both heat up quickly. We like the simplicity of the controls. We can use about half of our old pots and pans, after cleaning the bottoms very carefully.. We're still getting used to a glass cooktop, but t so far so good
This is my first ceramic cooktop and I was a little leery but I actually really like it. I was impressed that the rest of the cooktop stays cool when the burners are on and the control are clear. The oven does a great baking job and I have been enjoying baking bread, cookies and meals. Once again, I really didn't think I'l like the ceramic cooktop but I have found it to be much easier to clean than my previous coil cooking elemnets. It also looks very nice as a built in.
I decided to change my white 2003 GE range that still looks like new and functions very well. I changed it for an updated model in stainless steel. I bought the new on online with an excellent experience. It was delivered and installed by excellent employees. I love GE appliances.
I purchased this to replace my old drop in. So far I'm pleased with the performance. I find the cooktop easy to keep clean. I like the cook timer-haven't used the self cleaning feature yet (of course!) but everything else is great!
I love my new stove. It's is modern and beautiful and cooks amazing!! Thank you so much GE. I had the original stove in my home from 1990s. You camnot how happy I am to cook for the holidays. Thank you!!!!

Nice stove. Not fond of the glass to but thats all I could get in a drop in other than that everything works great.. would have given a 5 but screws were missing on the right side of the oven door
This is a very nice basic range. Supposed to be stainless steel but looks black other than the dials and oven handle. It was the only one available to fit in my cabinet. But everything works well!
First, the drop in range results in a huge gap (5" x 30") under the range and there is no accessory to fill gap (no drawer, no filler- see photo). After all this money, I'm left with an eyesore. Second, the range surface is easily damaged by spills (see photo). Don't waste your money. I'm very disappointed with this GE purchase.
