We've been quite happy with our new range. We've used each of the various burners and all of their settings. The oven has been great for baking. We haven't had an opportunity to use the convection or air fry features yet. The stovetop doesn't clean as easily as our previous glass top stove
I am lovin' this oven! I have only had it a month, but have already used the delay timer feature four times. My kettle lives on the warming zone, and we are getting rid of the air fry/convention appliances. I just scored more counter top space, and my muffins and cupcakes look like a professional baked them!
This is a great range! I got it in exchange for an LG air fry range that we realized immediately was incredibly difficult to use, and would have been impossible for our family member with a disability. This one has a control panel that is much easier to use and understand! It cooks beautifully - just how it's supposed to! LG made the return close to impossible. So from now on, it's GE for me!
I replaced a whirlpool gallery standing oven/range with this GE brand. The whirlpool had the same exact features. The GE heats faster, has better labelled controls, and is simple to use. Easy to set the clock and use its features. I like the exposed lower heating element in the oven. I put tin foil in the bottom of my old whirlpool and melted it to the bottom of the oven. I had no clue the element was below the oven floor in the whirpool. I highly recommend this GE standing range/oven. If you find yourself replacing your range/oven like I did, I also recommend venting your hood or combination microwave/hood. I vented my existing microwave at the same time of the install and there are zero fumes in my house when cooking.
The oven preheats so quick! The cooktop is easy to clean and the 5 burners are great for breakfast when I need to cook a million things at once. Also, I love the dual options on the cooktop, either a large or small burner, to adjust to my pans and cooking needs.
We bought this range and matching microwave in exchange for a ridiculously complicated LG. The GE appliances are much simpler to use. Control panel is clearly marked and makes it easier to use, and to teach to someone with a disability. The GE units also cook beautifully! We had GE in a previous home and I should have stayed with tried and true GE.
I'm still in learning curve(how to set cooking controls and using timer). The oven bakes great, this is my first glass top and it's very different than electric coils plus I had to get a special cleaner to both protect and clean off spill/boil overs on glass top surface. Looking forward to the quicker air fry and convection of healthy veggies.
Needed a basic electric range in white. Due to Covid-19 affecting the global supply chain, some retailers don't readily have appliances in stock, especially white ones. I found this range and it had everything my old range had. Range has the basics, also self cleaned and has a convection fan in the oven. Works fine. Oven heats just a little slower than my last electric range but that's acceptable. More importantly to me is that the smooth cook top surface be less likely to scratch and stain and be easy to clean. The range I had before this had a Ceran Schott smooth top that still looked new. This GE range smooth top surface has a speckle design. In store models I saw at different retailers, this GE speckled smooth top was never scratched up, but other store model smooth tops were full of scratches. That little 'K' in the left corner of the cook top indicates the surface is glass-ceramic from EuroKera so I have hopes it will perform well.
The range arrived in good condition and was installed without a hitch. The instrument panel appears easy to use, but I'll have to refer to the user manual to set the clock. The oven does not have a drip pan above the heating element, but I suppose that will help to optimize heat circulation. The installation guide recommends using tin foil on the second rack to catch spills. Overall, this appears to be a good basic stove, and I look forward to using it.
I loved my GE stove until last week. My son and I were preheating a skillet on the stove and then decided to cook later and shut it off. As we were talking, we head a loud cracking noise and it was the stovetop cracking! The stove was off, but the heat coming from it was so hot that we flipped the breaker instead of going near it again. I'd like to know if this is the reason you've discontinued the model. I'm so afraid of the thing that I'm not going to try to repair it. Now I need to find a company that makes slate appliances so it won't stand out with my GE fridge, dishwasher, and microwave.
