This is an amazing a/c unit. Its cooking a 300 square foot room with ease, in fact I have to turn it off because its so cold. It only took about 20 minutes to set up, remote works flawlessly. I absolutely recommend this!!
So far so good. Item arrived in food condition and installation was pretty easy. We like the remote and control features. Cools our 10'x23' room very well. My verticle sliding window is 60" tall and the unit comes with only 48" of exhaust barrier, but also two shorter pieces enabled me to make it work, with some extra effort and engineering. The only surprise is that the exhaust hose is quite large, 6". I'm satisfied with the operation so far. I did buy the four year extension warranty as well. I've shopped a good bit for this size and style of AC unit and this is the best price I could find.
Love it I just got it today pros is that it's working pretty well for my kitchen and living room area keeps the temperatures down the only kind that I have right now at the moment is that it's only for regular size windows it doesn't work on like the sliding door side windows
Loved everything about this unit. Cools room quickly, it's very quiet and easy to assemble. It's a nice small shape that it can be tucked into a corner without using a lot of space. Love the sleek design.
easy install. i did use child lock for windiw no new holes. had it up and running in under 30 mins
Was a great price on sale, does what it's supposed to. Pretty noisy, though. Not disappointed but not thrilled with it either. Wish the fan had a 3rd speed that was lower, not much difference between HI and LOW settings. Also wish it had more vent positions to control the airflow direction. Otherwise, circulates the air, cools the room, and reduces humidity - all the basic functions an air conditioner should perform.
I bought this over a month ago and have been using it continuously since. To address some of the problems people have posted: If you run it on dry you have to run a drain tube either in a bucket or out of the window slot where the vent is. You will drive yourself crazy trying to empty it manually because it's a small tank. You don't need to drain from both ports. Just pick whichever one is better for your setup. The manual tells you exactly what size tubing to purchase. If the unit keeps shutting down when run on other settings and it's saying to drain the system? The humidity inside the home is just too high for it to keep up. I have run this unit continuously for a few days at a time and I never had to drain it unless I expressly have it on dry. The exhaust tube is a bit larger than expected but it is flexible and durable so far. If it's popping out on you, check to make sure you screwed it into the unit and the vent hole properly. Literally...twist into the openings until it starts collapsing onto itself. The remote is handy but only if you are just turning it off and on. The display is on top and while it's easy to figure out, there's a delay with the remote (the first press turns on the controls, then you can change the setting) so I'm not always sure if I'm hitting the right setting unless I can see the display. This is the main reason I gave only 4 stars. This unit needs a little bit of space around it to work best because pulling air from the surrounding area. This will also create negative pressure in your home which will pull air in from every possible nook and cranny so if you are getting weird smells? It's probably from outside of the home.
Not bad for the price. Have it in my bedroom. Only thing is the extension boards are not long enough for my large bedroom window. Will have to find a solution, currently have a piece of cardboard covering the opening at the top And apparently you are supposed to leave the drain plug closed. It tells you when the internal water tank is full. We will see how often i have to drain the water. Overall pretty nice.
Since the apartment building I live in requires the tenants to remove their air conditioners from the windows by September, I received my air conditioner just before I could use it. I tried to assemble the air hose and both plastic collars (as per instructions), but they won't stay together. It would be spectacularly fabulous if the air hose and both plastic collars were one complete and seamless piece.
I bought it for summer home in November and just now took it out to use. set it up and turned it on no blower. upon a little investigating, there's a broken plastic piece wedged against the motor, preventing it from spinning. bought ge brand because it's been dependable. I guess they dont pay attention in assembly to ensure nothings broken. now im stuck with a broken unit due to the return window being past.
