Love this set from GE! When I received them I was impressed by how solid they look and feel. The steam feature is fantastic and the Wi-Fi is actually a very useful feature as well. Having time remaining notifications sent to my phone is a really handy thing to have. Time will tell how well these will hold up, but I am going to stay optimistic as I've heard great things about this brand when it comes to laundry.
For the first time ever, my dryer gets done BEFORE the washer!!! It's wrinkle function is awesome as well. This whole set as made me want to do laundry. Who wants to do laundry?! Me!!! Haha. The smart system is perfect. I feel like I'm in the future. Absolutely amazing.
We love our new GE washer and dryer. Our clothes feel clean and fresh, the settings are perfect for everything we need. They are huge and hold a ton of clothes and a weeks worth of towels that our daily uses. Dryer works great too. Clothes come out wrinkle free. Love the sapphire blue color!
We recently got our washer and dryer delivered and we love it. The washer runs at a quiet noise level and the smart dispense soap system is extremely convenient and keeps our clothes smelling fresh. The washer link feature on the dryer help keep cycles moving quickly. The best part is they look amazing.
This GE electric 7.8 cf dryer is extra large, we can do king size comforter & sleeping bags with ease. Does excellent job of drying in all cycles. Love the steam Wrinkle Remover as I have a tendency to forget clothes for a while. They come out looking great after using this cycle. Beautiful gray color. No issues with the rubber door gasket attracting lint as others have mentioned. My husband built a frame from 2 x 6, used a Come-Along & straps to hoist the dryer up to stack. It's quite large.
Excellent ease of operation. Smart communications with dryer and iPhone/iPad. Practically no vibration in high spin with full loads. The Pedestals are much larger than units replaced and holds significant weight. Have run 6 loads since installed with no problems.
The product is beautiful inside and out. It has all the features you can ask for and more. It has WiFi and gives an alert when clothes are ready. My clothes come out fluffy and wrinkle free without using the steam. It has countless cycles to choose from with the ability to customize to your liking. There is nothing I can say I don't like. My dryer works great overall. I like that it's electric and I was able to connect it to the waterline so it can steam clothes. A few things could be better; for example, when a I use the “Refresh” or “Derinkle” settings for steaming small or large loads. Refresh takes 20 minutes and Derinkle takes 25 minutes because the clothes are completely wet then dried; so technically, they aren't steamed. I wanted the steam option to save time on last minute ironing, but I can easily iron in less than 20 minutes. These steam options are not good for one or two items, they are the best for small and large loads as noted on the appliance. Also, quite often my dryer disconnects from Wi-Fi despite having a range extender in the next room. The WiFi signal is strong, but my Echo enabled devices have stopped announcing when the dryer is finished multiple times. When this option does work properly, I have it set not to announce after a certain time, which is helpful for family members that are resting.
I have absolutely no complaints with the dryer, I love it!! However I'm disappointed in the lint trap. There are 2 clips that hold it locked in place, one of the clips broke the first week I had it. The second clip broke broke after 3 months. I've only had the dryer for 8 months. Lint trap is very cheaply made. If not for the lint trap it would be a definite 5 stars!
We purchased this washer 11/15/21 and are now in the market for new dryer. The front plastic door area was coming off, so we had it replaced 9/23/24. Now, one of the main parts has completed broken off inside the dryer (pics attached). We had to go out and buy push fastener to "plug up" the hole. Poorly made, so we now have to buy a new dryer less than 3 years after purchasing this.
