Have just bought and then read the reviews, go figure. Anyway saw the complaints about making toast. So carefully removing a rack, in case I want to take back, I inserted, place a piece of bread in the center and made a beautiful piece of toast. Put the setting on dark but removed about 3/4 of the way through because it was perfect. Next time will start on a lower setting. 3 min at most for perfect toast. I bet most people complaining failed to turn the temp knob up to 450 so yeah their toast never got brown. Anyway gave a 5 on everything else until I really test it out. Just wanted to post this experience. Don't let complaints about not making toast turn you off, read the destructions first where it states to turn the temp knob all the way up. Else of course you will get dried out toast that never gets brown and takes forever.

This product is superior to most other toaster ovens...the price is fantastic. Makes 6 slices of toast, takes about 5 min. to get it dark like I like it. The oven made a tasty meatloaf, and also baked pork chops. It is sturdy and looks like it is a $120 oven. Have bought several toaster ovens in my lifetime but took them all back within a couple days because of junk like quality or poor performance. You will not be disappointed with this GE product. I bet in a few months it will be selling for much more as I think this is an introductory price.

Well built, nice look, small size for countertop, and does everything! Try the rotisserie. Best pork roast ever. Bakes great. Makes toast. Broils. Love the timer and bell. Great instruction booklet.

I just purchased this so I cannot really comment on the durability, but with a 2 year warranty from GE plus a 1 year full coverage warranty from Walmart available for only $3.00, I think I am covered. I have never had a toaster oven. I just wanted to roast a chicken without roasting the entire house with the heat from my oven. I was looking at special rotisserie ovens but came across this toaster oven with a rotisserie feature. Since this is more of a multi tasker I bought it. I am so glad I did! It looks sharp on my counter. I just took a rotisserie chicken out of the oven and it looks and smells fantastic. MY KITCHEN IS NOT HEATED AT ALL! I was a little intimadated with setting up the chicken for the rotisserie, but just stay under 5 poinds, use string to truss it up securely, and center it best you can on the rod and you are good to go. This cooked a 4 1/2 lb chicken in 90 minutes. I am looking forward to putting this thing through it's paces and finding out what else it will do.

I bought this item with the intent of having more options baking-wise. I didn't expect to use it as much as I have! We've had it for a month (family of 5) and have used the rotissere function (which I loved...crispy chicken skin..yum!); baked lots of things from roasted potatoes to brownies, pizza, quiche, monkey bread (in a bundt pan), and the list goes on. To my surprise, all things I've baked have come out BETTER than with my regular oven. This little oven seems to bake more evenly than I'm used to. I find that I'm using it more than my regular oven; and although I can't use it for everything, I think it is WELL worth it's price. I would recommend it for anyone...whether you're baking for two or just needing extra oven space...this little oven is great. I was skeptical, but now I'm sold. The one and only downside? The cord wasn't as long as I would have liked.

I have had the pleasure of owning this oven now for a little over 2 months now. I have had the best food I have ever cooked out of this thing. You must have butchers string to rotisserie a chicken but it will do a nice size chicken around 4-5 pounds. The best thing I have had yet was the rotisserie bottom round roast. I covered it in spices and cranked it to full and let it go for almost 2 hrs and it came out moist and tender. Tasted like sirloin. I also Reheated pizza and it came out perfect. This is a slow cooker NOT a toaster oven or an oven for the person in a hurry. It takes 15 min just to get up to full temp and then a good hr or more to cook poultry. BUUUUT!!! it cooks it just right. It will save you money on electricity but does take longer than the oven. about a 25% savings overall from not heating the house as much and is about half the wattage of the average oven. BUT heres a TIP. Take your oven outside on the patio and cook out there, it will not heat up your house at all. This makes it way more energy efficiant and your house wont smell like last nights dinner. Mine was chicken thighs coated in spices browned in a cast iron pan of olive oil and then baked and broiled in this oven for an hr at 350 on the rack with the drip pan and potatoes underneath. Awsome chip crunchy crust!!! Just buy the oven its half the cost of the others and includes the rotisserie and has a fan for even heating. You might think there is a bomb in the kitchen from the timer, but it will be an explosion of flavor. Yeah I know that was dumb!!!

The first design/safety issue i have is that I notice the racks & trays fit very loosely in the tracks, and don't have stops to keep them secure when the racks are slid out and food is being removed. The racks slant down away from the oven even W/O a load when pulled out. I knew I wasn't getting a top of the line oven for this price, but this design issue is pretty basic to ovens i'd think.

I tried to like this one, but couldn't

This is the third toaster oven that I've tried - and taken or sent back - in the last 4 months. I really tried to like this one since I'm getting tired of taking them back. Being a bachelor and no kids I use one of these a lot so I'm looking for that perfect one for my needs. First of all it won't get up to and hold a temp setting at or over 400 on bake. Put it on toast to preheat and it will get up there but then put something in it and switch it to bake and it drops down to 300 to 325 and takes for ever to get back up around 400. There isn't a choice of when to use the convection since its included with the Bake setting and only the Bake setting. The groves for the rack are way to wide. So if you want to check something that you have inside on the oven rack and pull it out a little bit, watch out! It will tilt down and what ever you have on it will slide off. The crumb tray that slides into the bottom is about the flimsiest excuse for one that I've ever seen. The aluminum that it's made from is about as thick as a beer can and if your not careful you can bend it putting it in or while washing it off. The top and back are only the single wall aluminum so they get very hot and is part of the problem with it not being able to hold the higher temps. I didn't get to use the rotisserie so I can't say anything about that. On the plus side, it does have a lot of room inside. I like the rack with the off-set edge so that you can adjust the hight by turning it over. And it does look better than the plain box shape of some of the toaster ovens. Over all for a $50 toaster oven I guess its alright. But with just a few changes it could be a lot better. If you only use one of these occasionally then this one might work for you. But since I'm a bachelor living alone I use mine a lot. I like to use the toaster oven instead of the microwave for a lot of the frozen foods like breaded chicken breasts strips & etc. Plus since the door on my big oven is sprung and doesn't seal very well its useless. So this one doesn't quite fit my needs. Like I said, I really tried to like this one, but couldn't quite do it.

I purchased this after checking reviews on 3 other sites plus having a counter top oven is easier on my back so I don't have to depend on someone pulling out my food when I cannot bend over. After cooking with it on several different items from Chicken Nuggets, Refrigerator Biscuits, 6" Frozen Pizza etc. it took anywhere from double the cooking time to triple the cooking time and everything only cooked at the highest setting of 450 because the lower settings weren't cooking. I spent more time preheating and cooking in this thing than it does in my Electric oven which is NOT a Convection Air Very Disappointing Maybe I should go back to Black and Decker which got Lower ratings or even the Oster which had the lowest ratings
