I love most features of the microwave. The first thing I dislike is the loudness of the closing of the door - which I believe is needed to ensure safety, to make sure it closes properly. The second thing I dislike is the small print, and no symbols, on all of the buttons, especially the Start button. With older age, sight is the first to go. And, no symbols on the buttons makes it tougher to read the text only buttons. See attached pictures for comparison. The symbols really make the difference! Besides that, I really like this appliance. It’s quiet compared to the competition. It’s powerful! And, it features Express Buttons!
Our house came with the above microwave in a built-in style installation and the microwave has failed. We'd like a microwave with at least the 1.8 cubic feet capacity of our now failed one and the PES7227 seemed to fit the bill. But is it a more or less drop in replacement? And the present trim kit is vented and the "output" of the microwave does connect to the upper vent whereas the newer trim kits on your website don't seem to have any vents. Is that going be a problem? P.S.: The ratings are for the current microwave!
Microwave works perfectly good value nice appearance
Great countertop microwave. Easy to use and clean design.
This is the second GE Profile we have owned and were and are delighted with both. The controls are user-friendly, which makes learning how to use its many features quite easy. Our first GE Profile served us faithfully for well over a decade, and we have every reason to think our new Proile will do exactly the same. The fact that we decided to us replace our old GE Profile with this newer model should be interpreted as the strongest endorsement we could give. It is well engineered, easy to use, and a very attractive addition to our kitchen.
So far we haven't had any issues with this microwave. I like that it's gray inside rather than white. The best feature is that it heats much hotter and faster at 1100 watts than any of my previous microwave. So adjust heating times accordingly.
The install was quite simple however The microwave in the microwave trim kit has pre-drilled holes so you would assume the trim kit would fit the microwave. There's no adjustment and the door was slightly rubbing on the hinge side of the microwave. I use the template and follow the directions exactly as a manufacturer suggests. The lighting inside should be better. It's dim. I would've added photos, but it wouldn't let me I guess since I selected four instead of five Yes, I would buy this microwave again
Chose this model because it replaced it's 18+ year old model. First unit purchased came with exterior damage seen in box from retailer (transportation damage). 2nd unit back ordered for over 6-weeks. Upon installation, noticed unit had significant bulge in back of interior cooking cavity (how does this happen after the factory?).
Worst microwave I've ever owned. We just had our second one go bad in less than 6 years; both brand new. The second less than a year and it starts sparking on the inside, like it's about to catch fire; similar to when metal is inside, but there's no metal. The only reason we bought the same microwave a second time is that it custom fits into our cabinets. We have historically migrated towards GE due to the “quality and durability”, but this microwave has neither. I expected better from GE. Very disappointed. I don't know if we just got two duds in a row or if this model is better suited for a firework show than heating a slice of pizza up.
This product is aesthetically nice. Easy to use. However I have not had it but 1year and it has to be replace.
