Living in San Francisco, an outdoor BBQ or smoker is out of the question where I live. The GE Profile Indoor Smoker has been the perfect solution! There's no smoke, just a light, sweet aroma when smoking, which the kitchen exhaust fan takes out before it reaches the rest of our small home. While it doesn't produce a traditional smoke ring, the bark and flavor are exceptional for how the device is used. If you live in a city and miss the joys of smoked food, this indoor smoker is a game-changer. Highly recommended!
The GE Profile indoor smoker looks good, uses minimal counter space for the amount it can cook and convenient. I had an outdoor smoker years ago and this is much easier to maintain and comfortable to have indoors. It does put out heat and food cooking smell under the front door. Just like an oven. So, you need to crack a window and use the kitchen fan. Meat comes out perfect using the included temperature probe.
After using it for 6 months it is the appliance that I love most. Use it every week, and the foods is good, smoky and tender. My family love the food that come out from it. I live at an apartment, and it is ideal for small spaces. Compared to an outdoor smoker this one is 10 times more advanced, it's like comparing a old truck to a Ferrari, no comparison at all. The GE Smoker is at a next level, yes, not as potent as a wood burning outdoor smoker but I can't use those at my apartment, and GE is simpler, set it and forget it and get the yummy food some hours later, yes you can remove, and wrap the food, etc., etc. all the same as any other smoker and cook the same as any other smoker. The big difference is that it uses the pallets to create smoke, not to create heat, the heat is created by electricity, so it is more consistent, and the smoke is great and controllable. It can be set to pre stored cooking cycles like brisket, ribs, etc. or just customize the time and temperature by yourself. The size is just right for me and my family. It is simple to use and simple to clean, great result all the time. Connected to the phone you always know what's going on and what need to be done. I love it. It is expensive compared to other smokers, but in my opinion, it is worth it.
I'm new to smoking. The Arden GE Profile Smart Indoor Smoker is an amazing invention! First Build and GE are to be commended for delivering such an innovative appliance to consumers. Wow. This is one of those rare times when a product didn't just mostly do what was claimed or sort of do it but not really well. This thing seriously smokes, does it well, and really does not release any of the smoke. It arrived yesterday and I used it today. Whole chicken, no time to brine it, but it was incredibly juicy with a real smoke flavor. And… no smoke in our home! Our air purifier barely noticed a thing. Now, the area will smell like you're smoking something, but once done it dissipated pretty quickly.
I've smoked turkey legs and wings. This was my first smoke and it turned out amazing!! I have did three different kinds of chicken wings. Last night I made macaroni and cheese. Tonight I will make the peach cobbler or apple cobbler. This is easy to use and I love it!! The house smells soooo good while smoking.
I am thoroughly amazed at how easy the indoor smoker is to use. On the day I received mine, I was able to make a batch of pulled pork from pork butt, and the taste was amazing! I highly recommend this smoker to anyone out there who wants to get into smoking meats, vegetables, or anything else, but doesn't have the space or ability to smoke outside all year.
I have never been so happy with something in my life. This is a dream come true! My husband got this for US.. well I have taken ownership of it and I am very happy with this appliance! Works as advertised. Easy to use. No smoke (though you will smell the wood aroma which is awesome!) Has three racks. I was able to do a 12 pound brisket on two racks. Next did some baby back ribs. Both were great! WIFI connected and you can control a lot of setting straight from the app. My only issue is with cleaning the inside of the smoker. Some what difficult and really should be done while the oven is still warm. If you let it sit a day, get ready to scrub for a while.
I was very skeptical about this product , but luckily this smoker has been a blessing!! It's not going to give you the same smoke from an offset but it's pretty darn close in flavor from a pellet smoker. Cleaning is a pain but it's an indoor smoker what do you expect. I haven't done a brisket yet but ribs, chicken, chuck roast, steaks, jalapeño poppers and pork belly have all came out wonderful in this smoker. Just remember To rotate the racks because it does get hot at the bottom as per instructions say. Overall great smoker for indoors especially if you live in an apartment complex or you just don't wanna go outside to smoke!!!
