When I received it ot looked great! Unfortunately after about the third time I used it the light broke away from the neck of the flex cable. It is now pretty much useless. Normally always have good success with Char-Broil products but I am not so sure this product was made by them.
The switch on the light has malfunctioned before I had a chance to use it after dark. The light will come on but you have to hold the button switch down. Not handy at all.
I purchased this light in the late spring when we bought a new Char-Broil Grill. I specifically bought this one because it was made for use with our new model. The Gear Trax seemed like a great idea. Unfortunately, we used it maybe 5-6 times and it broke. It just just does not light up any more. We changed the batteries...obviously...but are still in the dark! Do not bother with this product...not worth the money and will surely be a disappointment when what you had thought was a good item from Char-Broil turns out to be junk.
As soon as we attached it to the grill and turned the light towards the grilling surface the light broke away from the bendable piece. Very cheaply made product. It was very disappointing we so needed the light.
Not up to the standards of the rest of their products: It broke (connection betwen the head assembly and the wire neck) while I was unpacking it.
