Retired my older Generac for this newer more powerful generator that was on sale. We love how easy it starts and the nicer panel lets you monitor output. There is now plenty of power for our emergency situations. If you don't have a generator or are wanting to upgrade, then this is your baby.
Product fantastic price wise compared to generators of less quality. Product has a pleasant physical appearance and we love the color. We appreciate the recoil starter just in case the battery goes down or bad. Noise level much lower than other models we have seen. Control panel easy to read.
Two weeks after installation of the generator and the GenTran switch we were hit with the "great November snow" in New England. Some people in CT were out of power for 9 days or more. We were out for the 10 minutes it took for me to wheel the generator out, plug it in, start it, and shift circuits to it. SMOOTH! Never a hitch or a glitch. I LOVE it!
We finally used our generator (after purchasing for a year) a couple weeks ago when a storm took out our power for 8 hours. We knew the storm was coming so we took our generator out (in a shed on a steep hill) and it was very easy to maneuver and hook up to the generator outlet. My husband has it already set up with the gas and oil so all he did was turn it on and we were set. I used to cringe at thinking of losing power but now it's no biggie...... My Dad even purchased the same one after we told him which one we got and he's had no problems either.
I was able to get this generator on sale. So I was able to purchase a larger one than originally intending to buy. It has all the features I need in a portable generator. It was easy to assemble and it started right up after adding fuel. I have not had to use it yet for emergency power but it should be able to handle all of our basic needs.
We were in the Michigan Ice Storm of December 22, 2013. Our yard looked like a war zone when it was over, trees pulled our power lines to the ground. I bought this generator on Monday the 23rd and got it running and hooked up to my fridge, freezer and furnace and several lights in no time at all, very easy to set up and run. It ran flawlessly for four whole days and nights, it would run 12-14 hours on a tank of gas. So glad I bought this, we enjoyed our Christmas with family, even though we did not have power to our house. Buy this generator, it will run your whole house!
Assembly was easy and straight forward. Serviced it with gas & oil and connected the battery. Opened the fuel valve and hit the start button. It started on the first crank. Ckecking the outlets with a meter I noticed it ran quiter than I expected. Everything was right on the money. Too bad I didn't own it in time for the 2013 Christmas ice storm. I was a contruction tradesmen for forty years. I know and appreciate using quality tools.
was told about this product from neighbor so i reviewed it on line and in store and decided for the price and watt this is a great generator used it once this year lost power for about 14hours worked prefect ready for winter this year
Generac GP7500E performs as noted in sales literature. Purchased as temporary backup house power. Test run confirmed this unit runs minimum house appliances (2 split aircon units, refrigerator, tv, WiFi, house receptacles and lights). It is a bit loud, but appears to be quite fuel efficient.
Turned it on and no electric powe on all the outlet. Pressed the circuit breaker still no power. Got a pencil a pushed harder and got power. Those buttons have to be pushed in deeper than I would have expected . Haven't had the opportunity to use it yet. We have been lucky, haven't lost power yet.
