This reliable, high-performance two-, three- or four-thread serger delivers professional-edge finishing on a wide range of fabrics, including knits and woven fabrics. Create ruffles, decorative edges and gathers; join laces; serge narrow sleeves, spaghetti straps and more. The versatile 3234DT allows you to work with two, three or four threads, giving you more stitch and creative options than with three- to four-thread sergers. The two-thread capability also allows you to work with more delicate fabrics. Included is a wide table, plus a standard foot, blind stitch foot, gathering foot, soft cover and a range of useful accessories. The user-friendly 3234DT is easy to thread and easy to learn and use, with an included instruction video, printed manual and color-coded lay-in threading.

Love this serger. Easy to use and love the auto threader. Sews beautifully.
Had a HuskyLock S25 that constantly needed repairs and was a 2 hour drive to dealer. Actually my new Brother is easier to thread and to use. Wish I had bought a Brother in the first place.
shipment quick. instructions excellent. product excellent, wife very happy with new machine. AmeriDan!
i found the machine easy to use with the help of the manual. I like the extra length of the table which is included. Helps keep fabric from being pulled down.
Does a wonderful job, using either 4, 3, or 2 threads. The differential feed is a must have, since I use a large variety of fabrics. The rolled hem on chiffon is amazing. I bought this Brother 3234DT to replace my Bernette serger after 25 years. Absolutely love that the handle for lifting the presser foot is on the right hand of the machine and not in the back!!!
Automatic threader: I lLOVE this feature! Quick and easy to do without fussing and it works! A step up from the Brother 1034DT and adds 2 thread serving for a little more in price but it's nice to have that option. Comes with blind hemmer and gathering foot and differential feed.
My Baby Lock broke after 50 years and I was forced to get a new serger. I did a lot of research and chose this one particularly for its features; i.e., the free arm, ease of threading for my failing eyesight. My research proved out. This machine is extremely well designed in every way. If I had any suggestion for improvement, it would be for a longer cord between the machine and the foot pedal! I find this one REALLY short. The table and the video are very nice/helpful additions. I have just used it for regular serging so far. I'm still experimenting with stitches and just got elastic foot to try. It has won me over. I do hope it lasts as long as my Baby Lock!
I have only had my serger a few months, but I have had to tackle the hard stuff!! By that I mean thread it. And I was successful the first time!! I did keep the book right next to the serger while I was doing it. It seems to be easy enough to get the tensions correct. With the holidays being here, and being so busy I have not had enough time to try and experiment with it. But now that those are past, and it stops raining I can run over to JoAnns and get some fabric to practice with and see how the different stitches are accomplished.
After reading the operator manual, I was confused as to how to set up the machine. The dvd was clear and made threading the machine much easier. I had no previous experience with a serger/overcast machine. I was able to get the machine to operate.
This machine is a must have for both the beginner and advanced sewing enthusiasts. Set up is a breeze and adds that professional look to your projects.
