The Genie G3T-R 3-Button Garage Door Opener Remote features Genie Intellicode Security Technology to keep your garage secure while you're home or away. The access code is changed on each door activation to prevent unauthorized access to your property. Also equipped with Auto-Seek Dual Frequency technology, your garage door opener remote will automatically seek either 315 or 390 MHz, which minimizes interference from surrounding devices and improves overall performance. The Genie G3T-R 3-Button Remote works up to 3 garage door opener systems manufactured from 1997 to the present. For Genie operators manufactured between 1995 and 1997, the 3-button remote will operate with up to 2 doors with the use of the top 2 buttons only. The remote is easily programmable for use on your Genie garage door openers. This 3-button garage door opener remote includes a visor clip for easy access and storage, and a CR2032 battery with instructions for use. It is also small enough to fit on a key ring. I needed a remote for my older garage doors. I found the web site very good at identifying what remote opener would work. To confirm I called Customer Service and they confirmed my choice. I received the opener quickly and programed it. I must say that the directions and illustration of the opener were not clear, and I had to do some trial and error to program it. But, it works perfectly.

Remote opener for car stopped working. New battery did not help. Unit was 16 months old with 12 month warranty. Ordered new one. Instructions did not match the physical design of the motor. I called and was quickly given instructions for programming the remote. All in all, it was a bit more hassle than I expected, but the unit came quickly, and the customer service agent was very helpful and personable. I was fully satisfied.

Worked as Expected

The new remotes worked fine. Not sure what else to say to justify a five-star rating. They opened the garage exactly the way that you would expect a remote to do. It's just that working as expected seems a bit mundane to merit a five-star rating. It seems to me that five-stars requires exceeding expectations. It's not like pushing the button grants wishes or anything, which given the name of the company, might have happened (it didn't... I tried.) I guess the bottom line is if you want to push a button an have your garage door open, this product does the trick. If you are expecting something more, you probably had unrealistic expectations when you placed the order.

The remote arrived as expected and performs as it should. I purchased this remote for my teenage son to keep in his car. When I read the instructions to program the remote, it seemed a little confusing. But once I went to the garage and followed the instructions, it was actually quite simple. The garage door immediately opened and closed as expected.
