I bought this grill on a whim about 6-7 months ago through a friends idea smart move i use it at least twice a week no problems what so ever i know the top seems flimsy but thats because it has to adjust to the size of the food your cooking clean up takes less than 5 min other than that love this grill and bought 2 more for friends of mine and they love theirs with no problems at all
Purchased this grill after our daughter had purchased one & told us how great it was! We couldn't agree more! It is easy to use & cooks wonderfully. Clean up is a breeze -- just use a wet paper towel (leave the tray in front to catch the water) and it cleans easily. We have even cooked frozen meat on it & it came out great. Not to mention it is a wonderful way to cook bacon, slices cook evenly & stay flat and a lot leaner since they do not fry in their own fat. Totally recommend this "little" grill. It is a wonderful way to eat lighter and healthier.
I love this grill. I am on my third one, because the teflon wears off and it becomes harder to clean.
This thing rocks! The only thing that I don't like about it is that it doesn't have removable plates for clean up but that hasn't even been an issue since I read on the internet about how to easily clean these up. All you have to do is let it cool down just a little bit after using and put a really wet rag or paper towels in the grill and close it for a few minutes, then wipe it clean. Everything comes out really easy. Preheat it for a few minutes before using the next time and nothing sticks. I seasoned the grill the first time before using by putting a thin wipe of shortening on it before preheating and don't use soap in cleaning it and there's been no sticking at all. It cooks 6 regular sized hamburgers at a time or a whole plate of wings. LOVE IT!!!
I brought the black version of this grill about a month ago and i LOVE it! we use it for everything from grilling our chicken to making panini's and grilling veggies and sometimes fruit. it is a fast, easy, healthy way to eat your food. Clean up is a snap. All you have to do is use a paper towel and its clean in less then 5 mintues. one con i reciently found was that under the grill at the edge is VERY sharp, I actually sliced my finger today cleaning it, But other then that its a MUST have for every kitchen. it SIMPLY AMAZING!!
I am extremely happy with this Grill. It's able to grill just about anything. Salmon, Tilapia, chicken/veal patties, chicken, etc. Can't wait to try lamb chops next!
Bought it on sale because i like the bigger size. Two things wrong with it; there is no temperature control and it gets extremely hot. My first use was chicken breasts. It burned the outside before the inside was even done. Another try with grilled cheese & turkey sandwiches, came out marginal, watched very carefully not to burn, but top was so heavy is pressed the sandwiches to about 1/4" thick, the bread was smashed. Second thing is this model does not have removable plates so it is a real pain to clean. Recommendation: don't get this model, pay a little more and get one with temperature control and removable plates.
In order to cook the center of the food the outside is burned. The cooking times in the booklet are about two time longer that you need to heat precooked food. We liked the Hamilton Beach grill that we wore out much better.
I purchased it. there were little small chunks of plastic missing from the base. If i purchase something brand new it should be new not pieces damaged. The unit seems pretty shoddy. It felt like it was going to fall apart. Doesnt feel durable.
This model is very disappointing. Three key reasons .. 1> The top lid puts too much pressure on the food ( I cook hamburger patties and/or chicken breasts)...as a result the top gets burned in 3-4 minutes. If you turn the patties and cook another 3-4 minuters, then both sides are burned. First I thought the patties were too thick , I like to make them about 3/4" thickness.. so next time I made them thin (3/8" )..still same result. To keep from burning I stopped using the top lid and just use the bottom grill to cook. 2> The handle sticks out too much, so it takes extra room to open and close lid, thus hitting the under side of cabinets... (need to use in open counter area). 3> The drip tray does not attach to the grill...it just sets in front of the grill...so if it is bumped or if you open and close the lid to hard..it spills or it moves away from the grill and then juices run onto your counter. I had owned two other different models of George Foreman grills and they worked great ...this one..NO. I would not recommend this to anyone.
