The two reservoirs last all day & night. I have no trouble filling and carrying them. It is easy to to break it down & clean. I own two now. One for the family room & one for the bedroom.
Having a gas run central heat in the winter, it gets very dry. Got these two humidifiers and it has made all the difference for better breathing and eliminated static charges in the air. No more touching light switches and getting shocked. Even more so for computers and equipment. The little cups at the top for the vapo stuff, I instead got some vanilla scent liquid that I use for my Rainbow vaccuum and put a teaspoon of the vanilla in the cups and now the house has moisture and the light scent of vanilla. I love it. The units are very easy to work with, well designed and the bright blue light on the front serves as a really great night light in the hallway at night. The best purchase I have made in humidifiers.
This humidifier is silent and efficient. Although it is for a small room, I have it in a large living/dining area. I bought this unit because my hair & skin get so dry during the winter that it is painful. This unit is a workhorse, easy to use and I would recommend it to a friend.
Lets get one thing out of the way. This is not a whole house humidifier. Placed in a large bedroom with the doors closed it works. I started off with the highest setting. After a couple of hours I found that it had to be turned to a quarter of a turn on the dial. It keeps the room well supplied with humidity and takes the chill out of the room. Better yet, it has prevented my nasal passages from drying out while I sleep. I would recommend this to anyone who is in need of a remedy for a dry bedroom during a dry winter spell.
This humidifier does everything it says it does. Just wonderful! We felt a difference in the house within a few hours and it keeps feeling better & better. So glad I purchased it.
I'm one of those people that has stuffed sinuses most of the time. The Vicks V790 Germ-Free Warm Mist Humidifier has helped me breath better at night.
We have forced hot air heat, the dry air has been absolutely brutal. Every morning we wake up with bloody noses. No more, this is a great product and we noticed the difference on day 1. It's quiet, but the light does bother me a little.
I've had this for just over a week now and am very satisfied with it. It has definetely decreased the amount of static in the air which is why I originally purchased it. Also to help with the dryness in the air that was causing dry throats and noses for my kiddos. Happy with the size of the tanks. I've been running on full humidity 24 hours a day for the last week. I fill each tank about once per day. It is in a decent sized family room and the noise is minimal. Mostly hear it when it's quiet without the TV or radio going. I read a lot of reviews on various models and am very please with my selection for the price paid.
I really like my new humidifier and I can tell its doing its job. I tried keeping it in my bedroom and run it at night but the light was way too bright with the lights off, almost blinding when I wake up and accidentally look at it. The empty tank light doesn't turn on, but I don't really mind that since I can easily see and hear when they are empty, I just hope the uv light blub indicator turns on when it needs replacement... The sound is kind of soothing, sounds like boiling water, but when you live outside of a big city with very little nighttime noise it can be a little too loud at bedtime. I bet in a city you wouldn't really notice it though. I have an 1100sq ft apartment and I can tell this one humidifier, set on high, is able to produce enough moisture to get everywhere. Overall I like it, but if they could reduce the sound somehow (maybe insulation of some kind) and dim the light significantly I would be completely satisfied (providing my uv bulb indicator light actually works).
Idk anything about uv humidifiers. But so far so good. The only thing is that there are water tanks on each side, but only one side operates at a time. So it's an extra water resovior. I thought I would be able to put essential oils where there is some compatability for their brand... it didn't really work. Maybe I'll put them directly in the resovior. I like the fact that it is filter less and the steam is hot and that it kills germs.
