This air purifier is quiet and very effective. The highest fan setting is a bit louder, but that is to be expected. The air was so much cleaner that my sinuses opened up upon entering the room. Plastic smell took several days to dissipate, but since then, it has been wonderful.
I'm not easy to impress, most of my friends know that. This, though, is an exception. I've never had long-haired dogs before and since the boys came along, my house is about 4x more dusty (let alone, hairier) than I've ever experienced. Came across this as I Googled about keeping the dust down. Went from needing to dust AT LEAST 2x week, to every 2-3 weeks in the bedroom. Same thing with vacuuming. Even today, while dusting and changing the bed, it was "just" visible....and it's been 2.5 weeks. Highly recommend! I bought 2 and now trying to figure out where to put the other one. Color me impressed.
We bought two to replace the Holmes air purifiers that we bought two years ago which were making high pitched sounds with the fan or motor. The Germguardian air purifiers worked even better and quieter. We placed one in a 700 square foot living area (living room, dining room, kitchen). We leave it on number two setting and occasionally turn on the uv light. It kept the air clean and light constantly. These units are fulfilled by Walmart. Buy with confidence knowing Walmart will take care of you if anything goes wrong. Another plus. These units have energy star ratings!

Great product
This purifyer is a god send. I purchased it to remove stubborn cigarette smoke that comes into my main bathroom. It did it and did it well! I have no more issues with breathing in smoke from my neighbors. Secondly the UV light is a blessing. I take chemo treatments and the nurses say the chemicals are removed from the body up to 48 hrs after treatment. Of course that happens from our urine and poo poo. So having the UV to sanitize %26 clean the air is very nice! Families of cancer patients should get one. It was money very well spent!
Im so glad I purchased this air purifier, I can tell the difference in my home the first day of use. Do not sleep on this purifier.
Best Air Filtration system we have tried so far. I really like them Uva light feature too! My husband and I would have allergy symptoms every morning and Now we don't! We both enjoy the gentle white noise it has a well,also a plus!!
