We've had the same air purifier for about 10 years, after using it all night, every night, it started wearing down and making extraneous noises. We looked at other items, but in the end just wanted another one, and Wal Mart had the best price and fastest shipping offered.
Since I live in Phoenix, AZ I have to deal with some pretty bad air quality. After suffering through a particularly polluted winter last year I decided to purchase some air purifiers for our apartment in hopes it would help with the indoor air quality. I purchased this smaller one for use in our bedroom. It sits on my husbands nightstand and we run it continuously. Every so often I will take out the filter and run the vacuum attachment over the smaller charcoal filter that is attached to the HEPA filter so I can make my filters last as long as possible. I usually change the filter out completely every six months. I haven't needed to replace the ultraviolet lightbulb yet and hopefully won't need to for awhile. Besides purifying the air it also acts like a white noise machine, which is a bonus. I'm happy with my purchase even though the filters can be a little pricey.
I bought this to replace an old air filter that was failing. I'm quite impressed with this one. It has 3 fan settings, on low it's really quiet. We like it for the steady noise though, to drown out outside noises. This air cleaner moves a lot of air in our bedroom and we sleep soundly. We both have allergies and this unit works great to filter the air.
I have breathing issues and rely on all my air cleaners to help me. This one is no exception. Does a great job. Filter is easy to change and it looks nice as well. The price could be a little lower. Also mine had a bit of w smell when it first started but dissipated after a few days.
Bought this for our bedroom...have it stationed on my night stand. Works great! Planning to purchase another one for the guest room.
When using this i dont get headaches anymore.
This is the second one of these I bought. The first one was for the work place, this one for my house. I have 4 cats, and their dander was making my eyes itch and water. Now I run this filter day and night on low, and I no longer have allergy problems from the cats.
Works great, not only does it have UV when needed, cleans the air well, and also has an excellent flow of transferred air it makes a great fan unit too.
Solid fan and seems to work. Has all the features as advertised. So far I am very happy with it. I bought it for the UV light and germ killing feature. It has a washable filter in the back which is a good. Not sure how to tell if the UV Light is effective.
great company ...bought 2 of these but returned one. Too small-and not strong enough.Only kept the other because I had used it. May be great for a nursery, or a very small room. I have 3 dogs and a cat...needed something that covered more area. Bought 2 bigger models from this same company, they work great!
