purchased two weeks ago and so far we are pleased with the performance and the warm/cool mist options and the level of mist. more expensive then the others but we were more concerned with quality of the product
The 144 hour humidifier is wonderful. I would guess the 144 hours is with the humidifier running on the lowest setting. I set the dial about 1/4 the way. And so far it has lasted two nights before running out of water. It holds 2.2 gallons of water. With water weighing about seven pounds per gallon, a full tank weighs about 15 pounds. It is too much for me to carry, so my husband is the official filler. If he is not available when I want it filled, I go ahead and do it, only I do not fill it all the way. Runs quiet. Has a night light, but I do not use it. I highly recommend this humidifier. Quiet. Good output. Nice looking. I did buy the demineralization filter. Our water is very hard, so it is either buy the filter, or buy water. Buying water is a hassle, and a never ending job.
good
This product, though more expensive than many others in mass market stores, is better in several respects. It is easily portable--not a large floor model-- and for its size has a a long operating capacity that works far longer than most equivalent models before it must be filled again. It does the job noiselessly. I judge the device an attractive , efficient, and well-designed addition to a crowded market that is worth its somewhat higher-than-average price.
I have had this model for 2 years and absolutely love it!! Super efficient and easy to clean!!! Will buy another one if this one ever gives out, but it is still going strong!!!!
Nothing last forever that's why I had to replace my old one. I bought the same brand and like it very much. This one is a larger unit with less bells and whistles but after 10 years of humidifier use I've figured out what's important to me. The larger unit refills every two days but I spill a little more drips of water because of handling the weight while flipping the unit. Important to me: I want to control the spray, move from warm to cool with a button. I don't want to mess with filters. Easy to clean. I don't clean mine as much as I should so this makes up for my neglect. You can expect any unit to max it's life by the third year. I switched to this brand because the perm-a-wick in my last ones 4 years ago (Hunter) didn't stay clean and wouldn't come clean. They also constantly had build up where I couldn't reach and I couldn't get the darn thing clean. This brand has not had the same mess and is much easier to wipe down the base. The blue water unit never had build up. As the unit gets older the charcoal lining (that's what I call it) starts to flake away. Eventually this will cause the unit to stop working properly and you realize it's time for the new version. This unit is designed slightly differently from the old units sold under Germ Guardian but I think I'm going to like this better. I am a die-hard believer in the Pure Guardian brand.
My first purchase of a humudifier so can not compare to any other units but can say "so far so good". Been using for two weeks now to keep my guitar room (12 x 12) at a constant 40% humidity. I have the unit plugged into a humidity control unit so the humidifier cycles on and off based on room humidity. For past two weeks the heat pump has been running constantly so air in rest of house has been very dry and the unit is keeping the guitar room very moist. Have filled the tank with tap water about once every three to four days. Tank filling is very convenient and the tank is very easy to reposition on the top of the unit. Unit is so quiet when running that you can not tell it is on other than noticing that the built in night light comes on when it is humidifying (a nice feature that you can turn off). I am curious to see how long the perfect performance lasts but as of now, I would highly recommend this unit even though the price is a bit higher than other comparable units.
have only had it for a week.does the job in our bedroom.works good for the cost.hard to fill but getting used to that.
No damage to the shipping box, but the base of the unit has a big crack in it. I will be returning it immediately.
