This device comes with batteries for demo mode; however. They drain in the toy and may not be working when you get it. Just replace the batteries and you should be good. This toy is not movie accurate and dont expect it to me; however, it is very easy to order inexpensive kits on Ebay to correct that. There are lots of filea on thingiverse that can be downloaded for the pedal and 3D printed. You will enjoy this toy.
I love it!! Not sure what other reviewers are talking about. This IS NOT a kids toy, it even shows 14 on the box. Its plenty durable enough but its not intended for little kids. The wiring is fine, the gauge of wire is decent for the toy. 2 nice additional features are the wheels on the bottom to roll it out and it also has a clip to attach it to your costume like in the movies. Only negative was the 2 AA batteries were dead. I found this toy on shelf at 2 Walmart stores and all of them had dead batteries but big deal, put batteries in and it works fine. For $20, great working prop!
I was a little disappointed because of my nostalgia from childhood. The original toy allowed you to hide something in it and return it. Super joy of my life. Anyways hard to find where the batteries go and the trap won't close all the way, all that being said I still love it. Just hope for some improvements.
My son got this for Xmas. Within an hour the handle broke. The next day the wire broke and he couldn't open it. He is obsessed with ghostbusters and this was the perfect gift but it was so poorly made that it didn't even last 24 hours of a 4 year old playing with it. Huge disappointment
lights flash but the foot pedal doesn't operate the trap doors. there's no sounds either. if they were in stock I'd return it but guess I'll wait and see when more become available.
Item arrived with one door's gear tab cracked/broken, a cracked handle, and the display window torn out of the box. Shipping box was in perfect condition. Item quality was atrocious.
If I could give a 1, I would. NOW, this is not a review on a working product. Why? Because I have yet to purchase a working one. Each time, some lights may flash, but no sound, no trap doors opening with the press of the pedal, etc. We changed batteries just in case, but still nothing. We've even tried the ghost traps that do not have the pedal... the one where there is a button on the handle to open the trap doors. The lights and sounds don't work on it either, BUT at least there is a button to open the trap so they can still play with it. On this one (the one with the pedal), there is no button to open the trap doors. Only the pedal, which doesn't work. Would I order again? Yes, but ONLY because I know I can return it for a refund if it doesn't work. If these were in stock, I'd probably buy a few with the hopes that at least one will work. Because a working one really would be fun!
Poorly made!!! My son played with this for maybe two min and it completely broke. Not to mention the batteries it came with died within ten minutes and had to be replaced, the screw that holds the battery door stripped. Basically the worst toy ever!
Got this for my son for Christmas. he loves Ghostbusters and was so excited to see he got this. after only having it for less then a week it will turn on but will no longer open when you press the pedal. He's so disappointed because he loves the ghostbusters and was so excited to have a trap to go along with his suit and meter.
Just sang Walmarts praise on great stuff Ive been getting then I order a 2nd ghost trap and get one from 5 yrs ago , different box ( not new 35th aniversarry one).Both Walmart box
