I have seen the reviews that this comforter set did not hold up but I have had this for 6 weeks and have had no problems with ripping or tearing/fraying. I have a toddler who sleeps in my bed and a small dog who sleeps in my bed and likes to roll on it and use her nails on it and I have hot had one single problem - even her small amount of dog hair comes off easily which is what i was worried about the most. It is a great looking comforter and warm and the sheets are very soft which surprised me because a lot of bed sets i have purchased the sheets were scratchy. I liked it so much I am ordering another one just to have as a back up.

AFTER SEARCHING FOR A NEW COMFORTER AT SEVERAL OF THE PRICIER STORES I WAS THRILLED TO FIND THIS AT WALMART. IT HAS A VERY CLASSY LOOK WITH THE RICH COLORS AND THE VALUE WAS OUTSTANDING AS IT INCLUDED THE SHEETSET, BEDSKIRT & SHAMS. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO EVERYONE!!

Falls apart

I bought this for my birthday and I LOVE the way it looks, but already one of the shams has a big hole at the seam and there are many loose threads just ready to tear any moment. I have only had it for about 3 weeks! It also attracts pet hair, especially on the velvet patches. I do not think I will ever attempt to wash the comforter or shams. I do love this set, but they need to do a better job seaming the patchwork comforter and shams.

I bought this online and loved how it looked online, and it also looks nice on the bed. But one thing that I noticed when we were just making the bed for the first time with the patchwork comforter, it easily rips along the seams of the patchwork. We have had it for about 2 months and it already has several rips along the patchwork area. Just tugging it slightly in the night has torn the seams slightly. It isn't very durable at all and I wouldn't recommend it if you have kids or pets or sleep restlessly and move around alot because of how easily it tears. Also the sheets that come with it, although they are a beautiful caramel color, are very stiff and itchy if you don't wash them a few times before using them.

I registered for and received this comforter set as a wedding gift. I loved the appearance and I thought it was a beautiful set. Well it was beautiful until about a month after I started using it in my master bedroom. The patches began to come apart and other stitching tears when I pull the covers while making the bed. It is a nice looking set, but it just does not hold up. I only would recommend this for a room with minimal use of the bed and still at that i would be careful when making the bed.

Looks nice....if you don't use it!

Looks great, that is why I had to give it 4 stars for appearance...but if you would like to actually use it, well, then you'll have a problem. I returned this after 4 days. The patches were all falling apart and strings and thread were all over. Terrible....

A very pretty set but it started coming apart at the seams quickly... and so did I when I saw just how inferior this was made. Save your money.

I fell in love with this set, when I saw it in my local Wal-Mart Store. But after about 1 month, I noticed the egdes were begininng to fray. After about 2 months, the patchwork has started to come apart. I would expect this after using a product after a year, but not 2 months! It's still a lovely set, and maybe better suited for a guest room, where it wouldn't be used every single day.

Worst Comforter Ever

This is the worst comforter I have ever bought in my life... It is already falling apart and I have only had it for 4 months... It looks bold and rich but the fabric is falling apart at the seems literally where the squares connects together, it collects lint that is hard to get off, and the red dye has stained my sheets and pillows and mattress pad already too... It is a waste of good hard earned money to buy it... Buyer beware, it is a night mare of a comforter and has many defects...

I've had this for about three months. It was a gift from my husband for Mother's Day. The patches are literally ripping apart at the seams all over. I haven't had the problem with the red dye spreading/staining... but it's tearing all over. I'm completely dissatisfied with this product.
