I have used your products since I was the caregiver for my Dad. He used them due to diabetes. He lived to 94 years. I figure if it was good for his health it certainly works for me. I use the shakes and little snacks at lunch or snack time. It is a healthy supplement.
I love the chocolate. I agree it tastes better out of the can. The cans used to be less expensive. Nothing about diabetes is affordable.
For those long days out. Prior to exiting my home, I semi freeze one of these & take with me wrapped in foil and an insulated bag. Before "low"blood sugar hits, I have a nutrition bar & sip this shake. Perfect combination to keep sugars in tact.
Not only is this a great price but it has great taste.
Tastes good and has slow burning carbs so your blood sugar doesn't spike.
Very good taste for what you are getting and the price is just right! As a diabetic I'm forever trying to find healthy alternatives for a snack and this served over ice is a real treat to me! Love them!
The homemade vanilla was something I ended up with on a tray full of the worst hospital food I'd ever had...& that's saying something, for a retired nurse on the unpleasant other side of the bed, one who started her career caregiving a GM at age 8 & kept right on going, caregiving domeone on & off at some point in life. I've learned long ago that meatloaf is risky business if you're at a restaurant. ..it's lethal to the taste buds as t the very least in hospitals, but honestly, the smell nails me every time. That can of Glucerna looked like manna from heaven right then. Besides the Mystery Meatloaf, which reminded me of someone getting on a show called, "America's Worst Cooks," or something like that, that had made a panel of judges so sick that the person had automatically gotten on the show...in my imagination, I could see some hospital cook taking that recipe & deciding they hated their job & that would get them fired & back on unemployment until something better in the way of jobs x came around. I'd bet, instead, the guy probably won some perverse trophy for his awful food. Anyway, that particular day, n besides the noxious meat loaf, they had "can't make up its mind if it's a mushy fruit dsalad or a wilted veggie" salad with a dressing suitable for neither, ancient broccoli that somehow accomplished thevalmost magnificently gross feat of being togh & mushy simultaneously. ..a perfect storm of inedible food, except for 2% milk & enough ice to cool it down if it was still good...thankfully, it was. I pushed the hard rubber Jello salad aside, slipped the Glucerna Homemade Vanilla into the drawer, & later, asked for some ice for it because I was hungry. It turned out to be not too awful, even warm, at l east compared to other brands of meal substitute &/or supplement that I'd tried (the only better thing I'd tried in that category was, a decade or more ago, when Slim fast made a fruit juice only version of their meal replacement shakes, which, being as there's a code in this category that says, "if it feels, or tastes good, DON'T do it (or we'll get you)," means that of course it was discontinued. I imagine that code means they'll have to discontinue this, because it's not too terrible. I worry more about the chocolate...it does taste good, & I prefer it. I tried the strawberry, so far, it's been the wirst, which has scared me off trying butter pecan as its price like the strawberry (BTW, the vanilla & chocolate taste worse in the little bottles, too,), & there's no way to try one first...no hospital is going to let you try the bottles when they cost about double the cans. So, try the snack cans, ice them to kill off flavor & if you don't like it that way, blame tasye differences.
Very good product it does regulate blood sugar spikes
I have recently been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes and have tried several products as healthy snacks. I found that I prefer this one to other brands because the taste is very good and it is creamy and smooth. I prefer the vanilla.
I don't care for the metal can because I feel that leaves a metal taste. I prefer this product in plastic. I currently have both products in metal containers and plastic containers and plastic is much much better. Other than that I love your product keep up the great work . So with that being said I would recommend your product to a friend just like in the metal can. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
