I did my research on treadmills and the Gold's Gym Crosswalk 570 was the best rated for the price and now I see why. I have had mine for three weeks and haven't had a single issue. It is quiet and sturdy and folds away with ease (I'm a nearly 60 year old female and I have no problems with folding and unfolding and moving it around). I have used treadmills in gyms quite often and never had a fan that was very powerful or was directed where it would do any good, that's not the case with this treadmill. A very powerful fan and goes right where it's needed. Loads of training program features as well as other bells and whistles makes this an A+ in my book. Walmart offered this treadmill at the lowest cost and I was amazed when I picked mine up as it had gone on sale since I ordered it online and they applied a credit of $98.44 to my debit card!! Amazing. Thank you Walmart.
This treadmill turned out to be the best buy I have made in a while it is easy to use and is great for walking or running I use mine everyday
The treadmill is great overall. It is easy to use and gives you a good workout. The treadmill is a bit bulky, at almost 200 lbs it is not something that you are going to move from room to room when you want to use it. It is going to stay in one spot unless it absolutely needs to be moved and it will most possibly take two people to move it, even though it is on wheels. It is also very wide, so getting it through doorways can be a trick and a half. Right now we are not using the crosswalk arms. The left arm on ours seems to be a bit loose and we cannot tighten it. We think this was just an error on our part when we put it together. We are going to try to readjust it, in the next couple of days. Putting together the treadmill is definately easier with two people. Also make sure you read the instructions fully. We had the habit of reading part of a step, and then doing that part, then finding out that there was a part we were suppose to do first listed below that part of the step.
I use this treadmill ~5 days per week and run 3-4 miles each day during colder months. I love it! We keep ours folded up in the corner of the room so it has to be moved each time it is used. It is a bit heavy and awkward to move at first, but after you've done it a few times you get the hang of it. I was able to move it by myself even when I was 8.5 months pregnant. Features that I love about this product: -Quickstart buttons. If you want to go 5.5 mph, just push the 5 button three times and it will get up to that speed. (For 5.6 mph, push the 5 twice, then the 6.) There are also quickstart incline buttons. -It's not that loud, in my opinion. (Not super quiet, but not too loud.) I've been able to use it while my toddler was napping with his bedroom door open and it didn't wake him up. -I've never used the workout arms, but they don't get in the way when you don't want them. -I like options available with the programmed workouts. Over all, I think this is a great, affordable option for people who don't want to pay a gym membership simply to use a treadmill. Also, it's highly rated by Consumer Reports; that's always a plus!
I have waited a long time to get a treadmill. 2011 is my healthy year and I am very pleased. My husband and I picked it up late after work and put it together. Love the different types of ways to walk and the IPod port is great. Love it.
Bought this treadmill after searching for some time. Did not want to spend 1000.00 plus on a commercial treadmill for home use, but also did not want a flimsy piece of junk. This treadmill is very sturdy and easy to use. Although it shows there are 16 workouts you can vary the intensity of each of these so. I use it 6 times a week and the belt is wide and long enough to get a good jog in. My wife also uses this treadmill and it is great for her long stride. The arm handles are kind of awkward and we do not use them much. Product was easy to put together with 2 people, it is very heavy so do not plan on moving it around a bunch. Follow directions and lay out all the hardware before hand and it should be smooth. Wish the fan was adjustable to a different angle but it does stir the air. If you are looking for something for home that feels solid this is it.
I bought this treadmill in hopes of losing weight. I currently weigh more than 300lbs but less than 350lbs. I was a little skeptical about buying this particular treadmill because of some of the other reviews. However, I have not had any problems with it. I bought this treadmill about 4-6 weeks ago and it took me about 3 weeks before I actually put it together. As I mentioned, I am a big girl, but I put this treadmill together by myself (with the help of cases of water and other bulky items), in about 2 hours. Yes it was difficult and some parts you really do need help, but I managed and everything turned out great. Overall, this is a quiet machine except for the control settings. They can get pretty loud. The MP3 port and the fan work great. All in all, this machine is well worth the money! I have not used it a whole lot, but it definitely meets my purposes! I would definitely recommend it!!!
We purchased the treadmill in April of 2010. I really like my treadmill but after we put it all together the belt was crooked and I mean really crooked the top is moved completely to the right and the bottom is completely to the left. My husband sat there for about 4 hours doing what the manual says to do to correct this kind of a problem and the most we could do was get it to stop hitting the side barely but when you are on it especially on the incline it will hit about every 10 steps but now it is getting bad again. I called the number listed to request a technician to come out and fix it but the operator states that the belt is not a technician problem if there is a fix in the manual then it is something that we have to fix. Now how bad is that!!!! I am not happy with the outcome!!! So in other words the number listed to call for help is not very helpful.
I love this treadmill, the one and only drawback was that I had to have someone assist me to put it together. It wasn't difficult with two people but you definetaly need two people. The treadmill has some great options for work outs, it fits right where I wanted it to and is pretty quiet although this wasn't an option I cared about. It is a very heavy, sturdy treadmill so be prepared to have someone help you get it in the house and put together and then you will be on the road to walking as much as you want!
I just bought this product 2 weeks ago. Took me a bit longer than planned to put it together. It really is necessary, as book suggests, to have 2 people to put it together as it is difficult and heavy to move about. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. This is my first treadmill and I was not really sure what to buy. It's a bit noisy when you jog on it, but thats to be expected I'm sure. The only thing I don't like is that it makes a very loud beep when you put the key in it, and is also loud when manually changing levels. This wakes my husband up as we have it in our bedroom. Otherwise, I am a happy customer...I walk at least 30 minutes each day, and can already feel the difference in my clothing fit and my breathing ability....I would recommend this product...
