everything went together like it was supposed to! This is a very easy to use exercycle. It supports my weight easily(250). I would buy this powerspin again.
Well to start with I was very impressed with the time it took my Gold's Gym PowerSpin 490 R to arrive at my local Wal-Mart. It took only 7 days from the evening I ordered. Next I have to admit I could have put this together by myself but I am really glad a friend was there to help. So if you do get this you should have someone there to assist you in getting it together. I do have a situation with the control panel as it makes a static sound every time it switches between levels of a program but other than that it works well. The second thing is the pedals to me have to great of a distance between the up and down position of each pedal. When I have it in a full down position with either leg the other leg is very high as to the bend of the knee. I will make a DIY fix and maybe add a small block of wood to each pedal to correct this distance issue. Overall I am very happy with my purchase of this recumbent bike.
Took about 1 1/2 hours to put together. Definitely takes 2 people to put together. Machine is very quiet and easy to use. Has wheels which makes moving machine easy. Performance is very good.
it would be nicer if the bike came with the optional power supply or the description stated it was battery operated.
I think the price was a little high but the reviews were very good, so I chose to buy it. I've had it about 2 weeks and so far so good. Its very sturdy, has nice large comfy seat. My husband put it togsther in about 45 minutes. Most of the time was taking pieces out of box and organzing them. Once he started putting it together it took maybe 25 minutes. He said it was very easy to assemble compared to other exercise bikes he has put together for me. So I would recommend this bike.
Excellent product. Easy to assemble. Easy to operate. A very enjoyable way to get non-impact exercise. Sound port works great with my iPod. The games are a bit simplistic, but it's really not designed to be a game console! The display is bright, clear and provides a lot of information. It is rather large so ensure you have the room for it. I used site to store and saved a bundle on shipping.
Very satisfied with the performance and quality of the bike. It's quiet with comfortable seating. Good variety of programs. When playing the games you don't even realize you are pedaling. Assembly was straightforward. Took about 1 1/2 hours with the help of my son-in-law. I would definately recommend this to others.
It took me 2-3 hours to assemble the bike, but the instructions were clearly written. So far (2 weeks) the bike is working fine, with no mechanical problems. However, the batteries only lasted 2 days! At that rate, I'd have to buy close to $1000 worth of batteries a year! There was an AC/DC converter mentioned, but it is $73 at the Golds Gym site (plus $10 shipping). Walmart sells one (6 volt/600 ma) that is working fine and costs less than $15. Just remember to use positive polarity. The software running on the bike is OK for basic stuff like tracking distance, but the games are worthless and the controls are very difficult to use it (takes many tries to get anything to happen). I just use the + and - buttons to change resistance levels. Not much else works well.
