I purchased this brush a few months ago. It is AWESOME!! I love it! The base is made of ceramic...your hair doesn't really touch the ceramic part, but hair turns out to be VERY smooth and sleek from the heat of the ceramic. It is really awesome. I'm buying another to keep it until mine doesn't stand the abuse anymore :D I have used a lot of round brushes, but none of them was like this one. It has been the best one so far. It's very easy to use. It cost me around $7 at a Walmart store here. I think the price on it should be wrong, I think it is worth a lot more for what it does. I totally love it!
This is the worst product I've ever purchased for hair care! The bristles--both the boar bristles AND synthetic nylon bristles--come out each time I've brushed my hair. And I keep finding these shards in my hair whenever I touch it. I've purchased all boar bristle brushes before, and was looking for another one when I forgot to pack my Ulta brush for a trip. I purchased this one at Walmart. I wanted an all boar bristle brush like the one I forgot to pack, but this was the closest I could find. It was horrible! Maybe it will work for people who have very thin, straight hair. My hair is quite thick and wavy, and this is NOT the brush for that type of hair.
