We tried the Ring product but for us, the Nest is just so much easier to install on your own and virtually no set up. We were up and running in 20 minutes.
We love it and purchased a second one right after installing the first one! Night vision is pretty good; covers a large space; easy to install.
great picture and sound quality. I haven't mounted it yet. My SO stated that he would like to put this one at our lake house and get a doorbell camera for our house so I guess he doesn't like it. So either I mount it myself or buy a doorbell cam, I guess. I'd recommend it unless you haven't heard of a doorbell camera and that sounds more enticing to you (or your SO). I installed this camera about 3 weeks ago and I love it. Very easy installation. Drilled a 1” to 1.5” hole in siding thru wall, mount magnet, attach camera, plug in and download the app and your all set!

Great cameras with an amazing interface for your phone or iPad. Make sure you have a strong wifi signal and an available power outlet near the camera. I've tried others and the app for viewing these is a game changer.
Great camera
Not perfect but the system works. Annual fees are steep. I have a camera pointing on my truck and sometimes it doesn't 'see' my truck leave. That is frustrating. The app is very good. I pay for five days of saved recordings. So far that works for me.
one of my nest cam is showing videos upside down but other then that i love it.
