My system doesn't have a C-wire and most smart thermostats require one. My thermostat is located in a hallway that is a hotspot, the temperature is around 10 degrees warmer in the hallway than the rest of the house, so I was looking for a thermostat with a remote sensor that didn't require a c-wire. The Nest fit my needs (Google has a compatibility tool), looks good, and I like that it works with Alexa.
