This is for my daughter's Samsung Galaxy, and I didn't want to put my credit card on to download apps. This is a great alternative.
When you get two new android devices and you don't want to put your credit or debit card on their site this works well. Wanted to download some free apps and I still needed something put up for possible purchases. Used a Walmart Gift Card and bought a $10.00 Google Play Card. Was a little concerned when the site said delivery on Monday and this was Saturday. Even concerned enough to contact Walmart CS via email. Not to worry, it was delivered via email within an hour or so and I was up and downloading. If I want something that must be purchased I will use this method in the future. Happy with way it worked and transaction delivery time.
I purchased the giftcard for my 7 year old that got an Android tablet for Christmas. It saved me the hassle of putting my account info on her tablet and still allowed me to download the games and apps she likes.
It's tough not to get what you expect here, the only problem I've noticed though is that it takes a bit of time to actually receive your code.. so it's not as instant of gratification as it should be. It took something like 30 minutes.
I bought this card, so I wouldn't have to register my credit card on my sons google play account. The email delivery arrived within 10 minutes , so we were able to redeem it on google right away and purchase apps.
I'm super paranoid about giving GOOGLE (or anybody) my financial information in the form of credit card numbers, etc., but needed to pay for apps on Google Play. I attempted to use a prepaid "Vanilla" credit card purchased at a local store, but it wouldn't take that because it wasn't an official credit card that they could verify my name and address on, so I purchased this prepaid Google Play card from Walmart and gave Google the number and all was well. If you don't want to have to divulge your personal financial information to entities that like to record it and keep track of it, this is absolutely hands down the way to go.
Received my code in under 15min. Able to use immediately.
Basically i didn't feel like going to any stores to purchase the google play card so i order it online and the google play card was electronically email to me and there it was the google card with the redeem code very simple and easy to use and the best part i didn't have to go to any stores to do this all was done online
When you purchase this via walmart.com it takes a while for the fulfillment email to finally show up. It warns you that it may be a while but normally that's an upper limit like when you go to a restaurant and they tell you it'll be an hour when they really expect it to be about 30 minutes. In this case, it may well take a lot longer than they tell you before you finally get the email with the code for the eGift card you purchased. If you're thinking you'll have the code within a few minutes to go buy that app you're drooling over, this is your warning that that may not be a reasonable expectation.
Forget this option. They cannot even deliver this item on time and it does not require shipping. Buy it in person instead... or go straight to the source for it instead.
