Very easy to set up through the app unlike some other smart home devices. I have a Google Home in particular, but I used the GoSound app initially to set up, and don't intend on doing too much voice activation. I liked the two pack - as I previously had one of these plugs but I lost it and had a need for two - one for my electric e-bike (as they don't auto shutoff the charge when full) and one for my Beef Jerky food dehydrator so that I can set it based on a certain amount of time or manually shut it off if I'm away. There are other uses for these plugs of course, but you've just got to make sure that whatever device you're using it with has a manual switch that enables the device to be "on" at the device itself, otherwise the plug will not work by supplying power alone. (Think like a traditional floor fan with a knob with high medium low %26 off) I suppose some other devices could also work if they have some sort of a settings to turn "on" once power is received or similar. Overall I am very satisfied with the GoSound branded plugs and won't buy anything different in the future.
Easy to setup, works well so far. using for my Christmas tree. nice to be able to set a schedule for on/off.
These are easy to setup with the app. I already had several I purchased a few years ago. These went perfectly with my original set. Must have for christmas lights during the holidays, and beyond if you want to control your switches with your phone or Alexa.
Love these Gosund remote control outlets. I can turn the lights on or off on a schedule or manually if I need to get up during the night. I can even turn lights on and off from anywhere that I have an Internet connection, so traveling, no problem. Love all their products so far!!
These were very easy to set up and best of all is the convenience once they are in use. Especially for Christmas lights which saves the two times daily of crawling around, behind and under things to turn things on then off again later. These are awesome!
They were pretty easy to install, the only downfall is that you need to set up an account with Gosund and then permit Alexa to use them. Once that is done they work fine
Being a senior citizen, I found these smart plugs easy to set up. Once I had them set up, I would try them in different places throughout the house. When I was satisfied with their location, I would tell Alexa to rename them. Sure beats getting up all the time turning things on and off.
This is the ideal item for lights you want to schedule. But even more awesome is to use them for your holiday lights, especially the candles in the windows. Love these.
Bought these as a Christmas present. Comes in small packaging. Haven't used them yet, but plan on giving them to my dad and helping him connect some of his lamps to them so he can use Alexa to control the lights
I like the look and simplicity of the device. The app is a little complicated and the plug goes offline occasionally but overall it works fine
