[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to assemble and looks good! I did have to pull the headboard apart once because I didn't actually follow the instructions and the top and bottom were backwards. But that was user error! Looks great and my Daughter is loving the extra space to sleep in.
I was weary about getting this crib with it only having a three star review. A side from the box having a few dents, the crib itself was in great condition. I put it together, by myself, and it only took me about an hour and it looks beautiful! Very simply assembly once you figure out what parts go where. I would definitely recommend this crib to others.
absolutely beautiful took a minute to put it together but i love it!!
I'm trying to figure out how to get into contact with someone to resolve my issue. My Graco Benton 4 in 1 convertible crib doesn't have the secondary bar on the front bottom to convert it to a toddler bed. If I remove the front panel, there is no second bar holding the crib together when converting it into a toddler bed. Very confused and I don't see any other reviews with products like mine. I wish I would've noticed earlier when I received the crib in April because now its past the 90 return window. what was the point in buying a convertible crib if I can't convert it?
When we recieved the crib the head board was already broken.
This has worked great as a crib, but now that I'm looking to convert this to a toddler bed, I've realized that the support rail for the toddler conversion is not included. The manufacturer's instructions make it seem as if the railing is included, but in reality it's attached to the whole front panel. Technically, it's #10, the stretcher bar. I'm extremely disappointed and feel misled when I purchased this.
Ok, you definitely get what you pay for. You go cheap, you get cheap. Don't get me wrong, once I received a completely function, non-broken unit and got it set up...it looks nice. However, there's a reason cribs that are durable AND nice are $300+. We are expecting twins so we had to order two of these bad boys. The first two that came were OBVIOUSLY damaged. The box they came in looked hideous so I had the guy stay while I opened it up. Sure enough--broken. The other one--broken. I refused delivery and sent them back. Walmart.com was excellent in getting my reorder and replacement taken care of. About a week later I received the new units. The boxes looked good on both of these units so I was happy. First one I opened up--broken. The second one was intact. I decided to fix it with hot glue instead of going through the process again. I'm going to contact them directly to discuss this with them. The headboard is cheaply made and all 3 units were broken in the exact same place on the headboard. We had read where this had happened to others but decided to take our chances for the price because it came with a mattress. The mattresses are great in my opinion. They are soft, easy to clean and fit perfectly. Putting it together was fairly easy by myself and super easy when my wife showed up to help me with the other one. Just pay particular attention to where the holes and such are facing in the diagram. I added 15 minutes onto my build time for putting things on backwards. The instructions aren't worded very well so look at the pictures. Without the mishap, I figure it would have taken me about 45 min to put the crib together by myself. Once we started the second one together, we had it up in about 20 min. All in all, for the actual price, it's honestly not that bad but like I said....you get what you pay for. If the headboard were made of one piece of pressboard as opposed to the way it's made, it probably wouldn't break. Then again, if they spent a bit more time and effort on protective packaging, maybe it wouldn't break either. But, like I said, on the 3rd broken one I just decided to hot glue it back together so I could finally get the room together and finished. I was tired of waiting. I've included two photos. One where you can see the crack. The other where you can see the actual separation of the parts and where I would eventually have to glue it back together.
There were some damaged parts in the box. The back rail top piece was broken at one end and coming apart. An insert inside the box says they will replace damaged parts at no cost. We'll see how that turns out. The unit also smelled like paint when we opened the box, almost like it was painted shortly before it was packaged. The color looks nice though. Hopefully the odor goes away before the baby comes...
Unfortunately waited to open the packaging and found out that this crib came damaged. Need to return/get refund and will need to buy new crib.
Although I'm not sure if this is a manufacturer, retailer, or shipper issue, this crib that I purchased arrived with a broken back rail. Like all furniture purchases, the instructions say to contact the manufacturer for damaged or missing pieces. I have tried contacting the manufacturer (LaJobi) MULTIPLE times via phone, website, and email to have this back rail replaced and cannot get in contact with anyone. I do NOT suggest purchasing this crib due to the fact that you will not be able to get any assistance if you have damaged or missing pieces. I am highly upset as this purchase took a lot of time and effort to pick our favorite one, and now I am having to return the whole crib and start the purchase over again. NOT HAPPY!
