My husband and I LOVE this combo unit. We ordered it in Expresso and the color is absolutely gorgeous!!! Not too red and not too dark.....deep cherry color would best describe it. The craftsmanship is beautiful...I LOVE IT!!!! I would definitely recommend this combo unit especially in Expresso.
We purchased this product without reading the online reviews. We liked the fact that it matched the crib that we bought (Graco Lauren)... After ordering it, and reading the reviews, we got a little nervous that it was going to come in damaged, and that we were going to have to return it a few times. But when it arrived, it was all we had hoped for and more. It is a beautiful piece of furniture. And the price is right. We also bought the 5 drawer dresser (also fantastic!). There is only one thing I would recommend... USE a power drill to put it together. It will go faster. It only took us about an hour and a half for each piece of furniture.
I ordered this dresser/changer to match our Graco Sarah crib and it matches perfectly! I absolutely love it and don't have any complaints. Those that say it is difficult to assemble obviously cannot follow directions. The directions are very clear, there are alot of steps and alot of screws but I would rather it be secure than flimsy. AS far as the "smell" that others had mentioned, it smells like a new piece of furniture...I lined the drawers with paper to prevent his clothes from having direct contact them (simple fix)!
I bought this to go with the Graco Sarah 4-in-1 crib also in the espresso color. It was a bit hard to put together, but once it was done it looked great. There were tiny little defects in it when it arrived, but that was to be expected during the shipping process. None of it was major enough to be a problem. It looks beautiful and matches the crib perfectly. It is large so it should hold quite a bit. It was a great value and I am definitely happy with the purchase.
The product was very beautiful and easy to assemble. The directions say you shouldn't use a drill but if you are careful you can start it with one and hand tighten the screws. There are just too many to do them all by hand. Other than that this is an extremely nice piece of furniture with an exact match for finish of the Graco Espresso Lauren Dropside crib.
I must say after reading all the reviews on the dresser, it was the very last thing I brought, after weighing serveral other options. I am overall happy with the dresser and it matches my Lauren crib and changing table perfect. I recieved the dresser and it had all parts and no stratches. It was a thousand peices to put together and my hubby was not to thrilled about it. It weighted a ton and he was exhasted after dragging it up the stairs. He is rather a handy man but it took him 5 and 1/2 hours to put this together. The instructions were alright and could have been a lot better. My husband had to modify it to get it all together. It is not a solo mom project at all, especially a single mom. The end result was it is a nice piece but a headache for my husband.
This dresser was very difficult to assemble. There were about a million pieces and some of the parts were defective. Luckily they included several extras so I was able to get it put together. I put most of it together with a regular philips screw driver like it said to in the directions but I think it would've been much easier with an electric screwdriver. Some of the pieces were already scratched but nothing major. It does seem to scratch easily. Not all of the parts seemed to fit together as good as they should. The drawers seem to stick and don't slide in and out as smoothly as they should. I am a little dissapointed in the color. I bought it to match the Graco Lauren Crib and it is not as dark as it looks in the pictures. It is lighter than the crib and has a cherry tone to it. Overall its a decent dresser for the price, although I don't think it's worth any more than $200.
i LOVE this combo unit - i am 8 months pregnant and i put together myself, some of the parts were not labeled but i figured it out by the pictures in the directions :) matches great with the curvy style graco sarah 4 in 1 crib. i am however not 100% happy with the "wood" quality or the size of the drawers they are very short if thats how to describe it, so it might not hold very much when you use it for teen years as a dresser. i did have problems with one drawer, the wheels do not "scroll" very well so its hard to open and close. other than that its a very nice looking piece.
If you hate instructions, you will not have any fun putting this together. Screws are not labeled "at all" so you better know your different types of screws. The back panel alone has 50 screws so hope you have a electric drill handy or your arms are going to get tired. Instructions are all over the place and worded strange or wrong in some areas. My husband is a sub-contractor by trade and this was his first piece of furniture he has had trouble with. Some of the panels aren't labeled either so be careful. As far as the look and quality wood it's nice. We're having some troubles with one the drawers but we have called the manufacture and they're sending us replacement parts. Just seems like a headache and I would of rather bought a dresser/ changer already assembled for a little more money. It's a pretty piece of furniture just a BIG hassle to put together.
We were EXTREMELY disappointed with this product! We ordered it TWICE from site-to-store and both times the product was defective! We tried putting it together both times, and the pieces did not match up correctly. Holes were pre-drilled into the wrong sides of the wood! With a brand like 'Graco' one expects the best... this is NOT the case. We will never buy furniture from them again. We had to waste time picking up the product twice, lugging it up to the nursery, and getting it half assembled before we could see that the pieces were defective. We have a baby due next month and just want to find a sturdy dresser within budget that matches our nursery.
