I read a lot of bad reviews about this product and was very nervous about buying it. But my husband put it together tonight and its BEAUTIFUL!!! Its made very well and it only took him an hour and half. Its not flimsy press board its very sturdy!!! Its the perfect size too! Anyway all in all I would DEFINITELY recommend this product!!
We just finished putting this product together. Yes..it did come in what seemed like a million pieces but we were really happy with the end result for the price. It looks darling (!) and matches the BabyMod crib we bought from Wal-mart perfectly. Once put together it is very solid and we are very happy with what we got for the money!!!
I bought this dresser to match the crib for my baby girl's room. The dresser came with no problem and no damage, but was very difficult to assemble. My husband had to cut parts with a saw to make it fit, redrill holes, remove screws that made closing the drawers impossible, and basically guess at many of the steps because the directions were terrible. There were even parts that needed to be assembled that the directions didn't even show. The dresser is quite small, and the drawer space is minimal. It is very cute, but not very practical. I realize it wasn't super expensive, but I don't feel like I even got my money's worth.
I purchased this dresser so it would match the crib i got and i waited so long to get it and when i finally did putting it together was a pain and one of the dresser drawers was too big and wouldnt fit into the dresser i had to cut the wood down and the top of the dresser shows a bad finish you can see the finish is all marked up i can say it is a beautiful dresser but like i said a pain to put together and some manufacture mis ups
alhough some wrote it is a mess to build up, and it is bad quality, I bought this drawer combo; some parts could be better (fitting of the trays), but in all it is a decent quality for this price, and it looks good!! It has very (!) many screws, so it would be helpfull to have a electric cordless screwdriver! It took me approx. 2.5h to build it up..
I gave this item average reviews. It was difficult to put together, it took me and my husband about 3 hours. A couple of the boards didn't have the holes fully drilled where the screws were suppose to go. The drawer boards didn't fit well with the bottom of the drawers. Another review said they sanded it down to get it to fit, we put it together the best we could and it left a gap where it didn't fit together well. Overall, it was a pain to put together and a poor design for that matter. Once it's together though it looks nice, there were a couple of scratches on it, but nothing too noticable. I feel that it was a lot of money for the problems it has, but most are not noticable once it's together. It also was missing the safety latches that go on the bottom of the drawers so that they don't fall out. It had directions for them, just no hardware.
I guess this piece of furniture is decent, but I am not sure I would recommend it. The directions were terrible and pieces were not labeled as they should be. Furthermore, after spending several hours putting it together, we found out that they sent us incorrect pieces to assemble the drawers. We contacted the manufacturer and we will be getting the correct pieces in the mail, but it is frustrating that we cannot finish assembling. Lastly, we bought this in white and the product information tag on the back says that it is "classic cherry" and the product number indicates so as well.
I read several bad reviews regarding this dresser, and yet I still purchased it in the hopes that those bad experiences were rare. No such luck. DO NOT BUY THIS DRESSER. Before returning the dresser and purchasing a completely different one, these are the problems I encountered: 1. The dresser arrived damaged - it had a giant crack in the top of the dresser 2. I contacted Graco requesting a new piece to replace the damaged piece, and the customer service and communication was very poor 3. The top of the dresser was manufactured backwards (the beams you fasten to the top of the dresser were on backwards - this part came pre-assembled) 4. The pre-drilled holes did not match up, and I had to drill my own holes to get the pieces to fit 5. Once assembled, the dresser drawers were uneven In conclusion, I think monkeys could have designed a better dresser.
This dresser combo is very cute HOWEVER it took my woodworker husband over 3 hours to put together and then the top drawer was too big to fit into the dresser. He had to keep taking it back to his shop and sanding it down to get it to go in and slide at all. Do not buy this dresser for this reason - it was a disaster and I should have spent more money on something better quality.
This dresser is not very durable. From day one it has been flimsy. Drawers have to be pushed in precisely right or won't work. So my daughter will break them completrly when it is time for her to be able to use them. I had to have parts ordered on beginning 3 times before receiving all defective pieces that need replaced. Very upset with quality of dresser and will need to buy a new one before daughter is even five.
