My daughter loves this swing, she is awake most of the day and I wouldn't be typing this review right now if it weren't for that swing. It cradles her just as if I were holding her, It has just the right speeds as if I were rocking her and it sings to her. The only downside the batteries have to be replaced often... Probably because I run atleast twice daily. It Is neutral colors so I plan to use it over and over, with children to come. Great price and Great value!
I received this as a shower gift, and should have opened it sooner! My newborn was awake ALOT. He was finally able to take his first long nap in this cradle- for 3 hours! He was in such better spirits from then on. The 6 different speeds were nice. Drawbacks: The batteries need to be replaced often, the lid thing is hard to snap, tricky assembly.
my baby loves this swing. we also have the $115 lamb swing (also avail on walmart). he outgrew that expensive one by 5 months. hes 8 months now- 21lbs, and still in this one. music is nice. good swing power. mobile is dinky. does not eat up batteries.
I was so excited when I got this yesterday. I thought it was going to be hard for me to set this up coz my husband was not home and I couldn't wait for him. hehehe. but I thought wrong, hehehe. It was so easy.! I didn't need any help or anything. And my baby loved it. He was so happy when I put him in this thing. Just love everything about it. Highly recommend it. But yeah, you may want to have a rechargeable batteries as the other reviewer suggested. I thought that was a great idea. ;))
As with my other purchases, this product arrived fast!! It was easy to put together, but I did get a little confused on the bottom front part. It's beautiful and I can't wait to put my Lil' Man in it to swing whenever he decides to arrive!!
I am overall impressed with this swing. It goes well with the decor and is not the cheesy animal prints. My 3 month old twins relax and go to sleep quickly in the swing. It has been a must have for me because with the babies entertained, I'm able to get things done. Love it!
My husband and I were at our wits end trying to find something that our daughter would enjoy besides being in our arms all day. We found this at a yard sale and she absolutley loves it. As far as the batteries needing replaced all the time, I disagree. We have had this for about 5 months and have yet to replace the batteries. We don't let her sit in it all day long, just when she gets really fussy or we need to fold laundry, do dishes, etc. I wish it would have had more on the mobile; she seems bored with just the plain white bears. Overall, this has been somewhat of a sanity saver for us
I made the mistake of trying to get the patterns on my swing, high chair and pack and play to match. Had I known that Graco's musical selection was so bad I wouldn't have gone with them. The music for the swing is terrible. The sounds for it are even worse. The "running water" sounds like static on a radio. I have had this swing for almost 3 months but have only used it for about a month and a half and it sounds like the gears are slipping when its in motion. You have to push it to get it going. When its in motion it squeaks and is very annoying. Pay the extra money and go with Fisher Price products. They are much more entertaining for an infant, and you get your moneys worth.
It was pretty simple to put together, the songs are great, the "nature sounds" not so much. If you're using it more than occasionally, you will want a couple sets of rechargeable batteries - one set in, another charged and ready to go. This is about the only way my baby will take naps during the day. The PROBLEM is that the motor went out after just a few weeks. Baby's only 14 pounds, so I know he wasn't too heavy and the batteries were new, so it wasn't that. He didn't spend hours every day in this swing, so there's nothing I did to mess it up! After reading other reviews about this swing and other Lovin Hug styles on another site, it seems the motor dying after a couple months isn't that unusual. GOOD NEWS: Graco will replace it for free if you call them. But I think it's ridiculous that for the price you pay you can't get one that WORKS in the first place without all that extra hassle. So if you buy this item or another Lovin Hug, be prepared to call Graco for a new motor after a couple months or so. Too bad, because it is a very nice swing.
My daughter only used this swing a couple of times because everytime she was in it she would scream. After just a few uses the motor sounded like it was grinding and would not swing with her in it with her being just under 20lbs. The info states that it would be good up until 30lbs.
