We received this item off of our baby registry and couldn't be more pleased with it. It has a very nice, subtle beige/yellow paisley pattern for the bumper and light greenish blue accent stripes pattern on the pad and rail rims. I didn't realize when I registered for it that it had so many nice features like a bassinet/changing station, a diaper organizer, and a "media center" with a timer, vibrations, music, and lights! It also has a nice bear mobile, though it's not electric so you don't get a lot of motion out of it for too long. The thing I liked best about it was the ease of set-up. A couple of snaps, and the play yard part was up in seconds! Adding the infant sleeping area was also a breeze and took only seconds too! The only thing we had a little trouble with was getting the bassinet/changing station put together, but it finally fit together smoothly, and we had no problems with getting it to fit on the play yard itself. This play yard also has wheels on it, which is a nice feature for moving back and forth between rooms. One thing we didn't know until assembly was that you will need one size D battery for the vibration part and three size AA batteries for the lights/music maker. Overall, we are very pleased with this product and would definitely recommend it to others.
This is a great product. The bassinet will be great for the first few months so the baby can stay in our room safely. I plan to take the play yard on trips instead of taking chances with outdated hotel cribs and unsafe bedding. The only design change I would make would be to make the bassinet cover removable so it could be washed easily.
This is a pretty good pack n play. I wish the mobile were powered, and it would be nice if this unit came with the bigger accessory tray that holds more diapers. The vibrating bassinet is nice also. The only drawback to that is that the baby has to be right in the center to keep it from making a knocking sound. I'm not crazy about the plaid and paisley combination, but it was the only pack n play I could find that was mostly black.
This was easy to set up as long as you read the instructions and DO NOT PUSH THE MIDDLE DOWN FIRST. Otherwise you're in for a world of trouble. A girlfriend pushed the middle in first and spent hours trying to fix it. There are four sides and when this is shipped they are collapsed - almost like an umbrella. You must first open the sides. You'll know it's accurate when the sides become one straight rod on each side and you'll hear a locking sound. If you're limited in space and money this is a great alternative to a crib set (crib, mattress, bumpers, bedding, mobile, dresser, changing table, & bassinet). You have a bassinet for the new baby, a changing area, an area to organize pampers, wipes & etc. I store her clothes in the playard beneath the bassinet. When she's older she can sleep in the playard. I love the music & sound choices and the vibration. New moms should stock up on D and AA size batteries. The only downfall is the mobile which is not powered and monochromatic.
This pack n play is great with one exception. It comes with a mobile that is pretty much useless. The mobile is cute, but is not operated by batteries or electricity...it is only powered by someone standing beside the pack n play and turning the mobile. This just isn't beneficial to anyone! We have decided to remove the mobile and purchase a battery operated one to attach to the pack n play. Other than that...the pack n play is great!!!
My only complaint with this product is the battery sizes. I haven't been able to find two of the required batteries yet. I'm afraid I'm going to have to go to an electronics store to get the batteries.
