We just purchased our Snug Ride 40 a few days ago. Even though our first born child isn't due until 01/26/2013, we are very pleased with the car seat. From the moment we found out we were pregnant, we started researching carseats. NOTHING fit the description of what we were looking for until we came across the Snug Ride 40! We love the safety ratings & feel very comfortable bringing our son home in it. As first time parents, we have concerns about everything. We don't have any about Graco & their products. Thank You!
I wish we had the car seat with my first child. It is great! The support that it provides for a newborn is the best I have seen. My daughters head is supported and I don't have to worry about it buying an additional product to keep her head from moving around. I love how easy it is to adjust. She is 4 months old and we have needed to adjust it 3 times due to her growth. It is so easy to do, especially compared to the other car seats we have used in the past. I am excited that we will be able to use this until she is two years old. Once she gets too heavy to carry around in it we will just leave it installed permanently in the car. I am thankful that we have a base in both cars. If we need to change which car the seat is in, it will be as easy and "click" and "connect". We have the stroller too and really like it as well.
This carseat is easy to use plus lightweight. The head support and padding are very soft and secure our baby very well. I like the head support on this carseat cause it supports the baby's head not to tilt and has her ergonamically seated in this carseat. My baby loves the car rides in this carseat cause it embraces her with the nice padding it has. I really like that it grows with the baby and we also bought the matching stroller which is also easy to use even for the grandparents.
I shopped around for a new infant car seat for weeks as my two month old was quickly outgrowing my 22 lb rated seat. It's really hard to find a padded comfortable infant seat! The other seats are minimally padded where the baby's back and head rests. The SnugRide Click Connect 40 is designed so much better than the rest of the seats out there. The structure of the seat is really sturdy and quality feeling. The padding is nice, I don't feel bad when we go over bumps anymore! The head rest eliminates the head falling to the sides and my son is very happy in the seat. The base is really sturdy and was easy to install. We have leather seats and I appreciate the smooth base bottom as I do not anticipate any seat damage (I put a towel under it just in case). The seat as an infant carrier is a bit heavier than my old seat, but I do not think its from the weight exactly, but from the seat being wider so it is farther out from you when you carry it. I use it as a carrier and do not have any problems. The fabric is really nice looking, we got the moonstruck pattern. The only thing i can ding it for is the sun shade gets in the way of the carrying handle and can be tough to move back if you want to see your baby from the front seat, but there is a flap that pulls down and you can see through that to the baby, so I have gotten used to that. There is an extra panel in the sunshade that I discovered by accident that flips out to give a few more inches of sun/rain protection for your baby. The recline is easy to use on the base, and I love how easy it is to adjust the harness height. We have this seat installed in our super cab F350 in the middle of the back seat and it fits just fine.
This was bought for us from my parents and the grandparents got the matching stroller for us. We love it. So easy to get in and out with the click connect. The fabric is amazing, several poop blow outs yet not a single stain. The straps are so easy to adjust with the strap at the base. Makes getting a sleeping baby strapped or unstrapped so easy, many times he doesn't even wake up. The removable inserts make a perfect fit through all stages of infancy. Very happy with this system.
This is my 6th child over a period of 12 years, so i feel like i know a thing or two about car seats. I love the fact that it is a car seat for up to 2 years. Very cost effecrive. The next thing i absolutely love is the fact that the harness straps do not have to rethreaded when the harness is too low for baby. The one handed adjustment on the back of the carseat is awesome and easy to use. I absolutely love the way this carseat is designed. The next thing i love is the extended canopy. Ovee the years i have always hated the sun in the kiddos eyes. This takes csre of that. And my absolute favorite feature is the click connect. Avesome!?!
I have an 18 month old daughter that still uses this seat. It's so easy to use and so easy to adjust. She is 29 lbs and is still all adjusted to the infant position. So glad they made a great infant seat she can use for a long time :). I would recommend this to anyone
I have the moonstruck version of the click connect. I do love that it allowed me to have a infant seat that i could use much longer then the other ones out there because if the high weight limit my son was 27 lbs at 7 months so he is huge and chunky. I like the design its very pretty. Only thing i dont really like about it is it is really hard to use it at the other angles in my suv because it makes it to wide for my backseat. I do love however that the base is so small because it allows me to put it in the middle of the back seat even with a car seat next to it which gives me the space to have it in the backseat. Overall i would definitely recommend this carseat its pros for me outweigh the cons.
I have to say that I really like the car seat. The extra infant padding is nice. The color is faltering. Not to much pink. I like the idea of the seat rear facing until 40 pounds. My 6 month old is now 17 pounds so we will be 20 pounds soon and I feel more comfortable with her rear facing for as long as possible. The only down side is that the car seat take up a lot of room in the back of my car. I have a '12 Camry and you really have to move the seat up to make the seat fit in the 1 position on the base. We had to more the seat up almost all the way to meet the highest seating on the base.
Car seat overall is great and works well, however, I do not like how loose it is when installed with the base. Base is tightly secured in car and does not move much. When clicking the car seat into base it really wobbles side to side in the base. I even tried a complete replacement...guess it is just the model, but it seems unsecure.
