What does the American Dream mean today? For Niko Bellic, fresh off the boat from Europe, it is the hope he can escape his past. For his cousin, Roman, it is the vision that together they can find fortune in Liberty City, gateway to the land of opportunity. As they slip into debt and are dragged into a criminal underworld by a series of shysters, thieves and sociopaths, they discover that the reality is very different from the dream in a city that worships money and status, and is heaven for those who have them and a living nightmare for those who don't. Features: The Plot - Grand Theft Auto IV is a brand new adventure in the GTA universe following the experiences of Nikolai ?Niko? Bellic, a new immigrant from an undisclosed eastern European country whose troubled past and the persuasion of his cousin Roman have brought him to the fictional Liberty City. Unfortunately, Niko's search for the American Dream and a much needed fresh start, hits an immediate snag when the rags to riches story Roman spun to pique Niko's interest is exposed as not only a complete fabrication, but a ploy to enlist Niko's well-known skills as a tough guy against the ample list of enemies clamoring for Roman's debt-ridden blood. Because Roman is the only person Niko knows in Liberty City he begrudgingly accepts his role as Roman's protector despite the deception. But as time goes on Niko comes into his own, and his experience on the wrong side of the tracks proves more valuable than he could have ever imagined as he fights for survival and later supremacy on the crime ridden streets of Liberty City. Game Environments - Based on several of the boroughs of New York City and parts of New Jersey, Liberty City, familiar to players of previous games in the series, has been entirely redesigned for GTA IV. Players can expect visible detail down to the weeds growing in the cracks in the sidewalk, cars and buildings of visibly different ages and a much greater level if verticality in the buildings and bridges that they are able to explore as Niko moves through the city streets. In addition, pedestrians in GTA IV are much more realistic. No longer simply moving cardboard cutouts, these NPCs are intelligent, modern, human representations that laugh, cry, eat, drink, use cell phones and As, and talking amongst themselves regardless of Niko's interaction with them. Gameplay - Historically GTA games have focused heavily on mission-based play, requiring successful completion of fixed tasks in order for players to progress through the game, but this has changed to a great extent in GTA IV. Players will experience an entirely new and exciting emphasis centered on the blending of on-mission and off-mission play, resulting not only in an increased sense of realism, but more interesting and unrestricted gameplay.

I was planning on buying the game itself as soon as it came out and then I was looking on Walmart.com and saw they had this great bundle and had to get it...I am very pleased with this purchase and the soundtrack included is also very good, the artwork is also fantastic...For an extra $30 and getting so much more it is well worth it, I would recommend this to anyone age 17+
The price overall was great because you get 8 items which won't be sold in the future. Outstanding job Rockstar for making an awsome series and Walmart for throwing a tshirt which will not be found anywhere else!!!!!
This package deal is awesome. You get one of the best PS3 games to date, a T-shirt, CD soundtrack, Artbook, GTA4 lockbox w/keychain, and a dufflebag, all for about $30 more than the game alone. A T-shirt will cost around $20 these days anyways. The game is incredible, graphics, replay value, and not to mention the online play option, with races, special missions, and ton's of other modes. In other words, stop reading this, and order it already.
BUT, I do think they should change there wording on it I bought it thinking it was the Special Edition version of the game itself... which in case, its not, Just the regular version. But all in all, I still love it. Come to think of it im kinda glad.. becasue i had rented this at blockbuster and got like 50% done... and i would have probaly started all over from the begining if it was the special edition. The sound track is great, i do wish that would have put Nickname on there.... but oh well. The sercurity box is just really cool. Hope this helps =]
This game rocks. And I have to be honest. I'm not a very big GTA fan. But this one hooked me. And I have to say that this is the first game that was labelled Special Edition where the bonuses were actually WORTH the extra cost! The bag and lockbox are cool and the shirt looks pretty slick too! I HIGHLY recommend special edition!
I bought this as a gift for my father for father's day and he loves it..best gift I've bought him so far...b/c he's a Mr. I have it all lol the shirt fit him perfect and all the extra accessories put him above and beyond excited. He has been showing it off ever since. Great bundle for games entirely!
This is the cream of the crop. As stated in title, this game as a comparison to the movies might just be , if not is, the Godfather of games. Vast area of terrain (vast is an understatement). Graphics obviously with the next Gen are outstanding, the non-linerar mission/story line is even better than previous versions, and the story/plot line... to steal one of the pro critics coments is like watching and playing a Martin Scorsecee (sp?) film. The driving might be the biggest change, so say for the worst, I disagree, it's finally realistic and non-arcade, no driving 150mph and makin the hairpin turn everytime with no consequences. The police force doesn't take anything light any longer , bump a squad , get a wanted level.... i could go on and on ....Must have purchase for even the non-diehards and this Spc Ed just makes it all the better
Pros: FUN! Deep story with easy to use "cell phone" interface for storyline events (which you can put on hold to go on your rampages). Excellent graphics even on a SD tv. You also have the option of using the Sixaxis controls for various vehicles including the helicopters. Cons: Default settings are very dark on SD TV. Driving controls take some getting used to.
The game is great, the bonus materials they give you are cool. The duffle bag is a tad small but the safe box is so cool it more than makes up for it. Unfortunately I had an awful experience with the site-to-store shipping option. It took forever and I actually had to order it twice because, for some reason, they cancelled my order (they refunded me, but I didn't want the money, I wanted my game).
Wow, GTA IV looked amazing. There were a lot of good innovations to the game play. However, I was dissapointed not to see a lot of the simple things I found fun in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas such as: the barber shop and wayyy more clothing options to choose from, as well as customizing your cars. I would've liked to have seen these things incorparated into GTA IV. Although, GTA IV is a very good game and I enjoyed playing it. The Lockbox and Rockstar bag are very nice. The Six-axis controls were a little sketchy but with some practice it eventually comes with ease. Overall GTA IV was a good game. I recommend it be bought. I ALSO WISH WE WOULD'VE GOTTEN A POSTER LIKE ALMOST ALL THE OTHER GTA GAMES! Instead of two maps :(
