This pitcher is the best thing since sliced bread. Modern design, great value, and the water tastes like liquid gold.
We have had this pitcher for a month now. Read the directions on everything about it. We love that it is so easy to use, has it's own lid section for filling and pouring, filter is great, filters water quickly, great grip on the bottom. I've read some bad reviews and sorry it didnt work for them. We have had nothing wrong with this pitcher and I know itll last us a long time. I will have to order more filters soon. We drink lots of water and if you ever cook with the filtered water you will not regret it.
We bought this because our coffee was tasting terrible. We got tired of buying gallon jugs of water every week. Gave this a try and our coffee never tasted better.
No matter how careful you fill & pour, low of full, this pitcher leaks most of the time. I need to wipe down my counter when pouring and after CAREFULLY filling even under capacity. Otherwise, I do appreciate the volume of water you can filter each time. I keep 2 extra regular pitchers full of the filtered water always on hand. Keep in mind, even though it is a lightweight pitcher when empty, it is quite heavy to use when filled.
Super top heavy! The bottom of the pitcher is quite narrow. Be very careful when you place it in your refrigeration, or it will likely topple over. I know, because it has drenched mine a few times. Definitely a design flaw, as the bottom should be at least as wide as the top. Also, the top part which holds the filter is very difficult to get out for cleaning.
Had for about 3.5 months and suddenly water starts leaking out the bottom near the handle. I don't see any cracks or openings and it's never been dropped. It was good while it worked but now I guess I'll give Brita a try.
For some reason, the water doesn't always filter into the pitcher at a reasonable rate. I have tried slowing filling it and then filling top reservoir with a fast flow of water. Most of the time it takes a few hours to get the water to go through. I don't know if it's the pitcher or the filter that is the problem. I am getting ready to throw the whole thing out.
Do not buy this product. The pitcher leaks and the water does not taste as it has been filtered at all. I followed all the instructions to a T and the water tastes just like it came out of the tap.
The pitcher is poorly designed. I must pour over the sink because liquid almost always spills out from the lid or trickle down the outside of the spout. Also the water filters very slowly (drops at a time) and doesn't fill beyond the bottom of the filter. This was not even worth the clearance price that I paid for the pitcher.
The filter in this pitcher just sits in a hole in the top. There is nothing to keep the filter in place, so when the pitcher is full the filter floats up and the unfiltered water mixes with the filtered water. Even when the filter doesn't float up the unfiltered water can be seen leaking down into the filtered water. It also leaks from the spout every time you pour water from it. The rubber grip on the bottom of the pitcher makes it difficult to slide into the refrigerator... which you'll want to do when it is full because it will be heavy and it is extremely awkward to hold. It is awkward to hold or poor from this pitcher because the lever for the door to fill the pitcher up is in the same place where you would naturally rest your thumb for leverage. Putting your thumb there causes the top to open and eliminates the leverage that makes pouring from that position easier. The only good thing I can say about this pitcher is that it looks nice.
