I use this push broom on my driveway once a week. The older trees drop twigs all the time, and the debris such as leaves and dirt are naturally present. The bristles are great; I use a rapid succession of short, striking sweeps on the course concrete, and, less often, I sweep out my garage. With the garage, it is a smooth surface, so I can use long, singular sweeps and save time. The handle is a standard length for household use-- longer handles usually are found in lawn and garden products with an added brace for additional pressure dispersion. This broom head is threaded, so longer handles can be used in lieu of the provided handle. This product has been used for nearly three years without incident. For push brooms, this 18" is the standard "entry level" width-- they make 24", and even larger, with more gadgets. For the price, this push broom is great. At 6' tall, the handle is just a bit short for me, but the time it takes has yet to force me to change out the handle. It literally takes me about 15 minutes to sweep the drive. This is a great push broom for its intended purpose.
Sturdy, strong, and gets the job done. Used it to hard scrub sticky grout on old tiles. For the price, it seems to be of great quality, and durable as well.
Solid push broom, especially for the price. Bristles quickly discolor but functionality remains. The broom itself is tall and perfect for sweeping outdoor patios and porches. Does well with dust, leaves, and dirt. Not as great of a tool for mud or heavy debris.
Not a very strong handle. My husband usrs it on our step deck trailer and it broke during the second use.
Not for heavy use. Broom is nice and light, but broke first time in heavy use sweeping garage floor. Would be good for light sweeping.
It was fine until i accidentally hit a corner of the wall. The handle immediately snapped at the bottom.
The bracket that attaches the handle to the broom head broke within 5 minutes of the first use on our back stairs/walkway.
broom handle was broken when we used for the first time yesterday.
I used it once to push leaves from my tree off the sidewalk and the handle snapped from the bottom.
Garbage, cheap hollow plastic handle broke. It's no wonder it was on clearance.
