Really good. Taste as good as name brand plus the bag is full. Nice to buy a bag and it's full. The puffs are big and fluffy. Lots of cheese. A little too much salt but not bad.
I rarely eat chips of any kind. I try to eat healthy most days. On the rare occasion that I eat snack food that isn't sweet, I grab these cheese puffs. They're so crispy cheesy delicious. They're hard to put down. Do not eat from the bag. You've been warned lol. My bunch eat them with sandwiches. My grandsons like to eat them in their fort. They're a terrific snack however and wherever you eat them. Grab a bag for your next cheat day. You're not likely to regret it.
I'm sort of a cheese puff snob and have stuck with the name brand but the price of them has gotten outrageous. Tried many other brands but was always disappointed until I tried Great Value. Will definitely buy them again.
Would like it to be more salty. Quality control needs to be improved as well. Why do we need artificial flavor? There is a funny off flavor wondering what that is. Wish someone could make a better recipe.
At first I liked the texture, and the flavor at first isn't bad, but they carry a bad aftertaste and they wind up soaked with grease, which I think causes the aftertaste. Also due to the grease they don't have as strong of a cheese flavor. I feel like the potential is there, almost like they need to just let drain them longer or something before moving onto the cheese coating and then they'd be solid.
We've been buying these for a while, my husband liked them so I bought them for his lunch, but the last few bags we bought he said they tasted nasty, he says they taste almost like fish eggs, I don't know what great value did but they need to go back to the old recipe.
bad taste and smell on last bag bought, puffs looked half a size smaller and were greasy and geavy, not light and airy. tasted bitter and wrong, very weird smell inside bag. Used to be good product but now it tastes and smells foul. something is wrong here. please go back to old recipe
I don't know what changed in production as these used to have a cheese taste but not now more like fish. It's like they were cooked in Tuna oil. I will not purchase again.
I never understood the bad reviews till now. Got 2 bags that are really bad. I probably just bought my last bag. These were a waste of money.
You'd be sorely mistaken. The texture is harder, the taste is a bit rancid, but not stale. I have found many Great Value and Equate products that are really great, and sometimes practically indistinguishable from the name brand. These are not one of those. Just get the Cheetos.
