I moved into this condo where the downstairs bathroom had these dark, mismatched bulbs above the sink. The bath is under the stairs with no window, meaning no real light. I plan on replacing the light fixture, but for now I needed better light. These Great Value LED Light Bulbs are perfect! Lots of light, like having a window in my bathroom! My bathroom now is brighter and more pleasant for my guests to go into. My female guests actually remarked to me on the 'great lighting in the bathroom'. Perfect lighting for makeup! These LED bulbs use less power, and will last so much longer than the regular bulbs. Now to get to the store and purchase more for the rest of the house.
I have been using these bulbs for over six years now. I dont even remember when was the last time that we bought these. I only bought these hundred watt bulbs because we wanted more lights. We are using 60 W bulbs. They consume less electricity and the light is equivalent to the regular bulbs. I highly recommend these bulbs.
I put this bulb in a hallway fixture that could handle the larger wattage equivalent bulb that had a smaller bulb in it before. The additional lumens help to really light the hallway much better then the old bulb. In most cases I prefer daylight bulbs over soft white but in the case with the extra brightness it works out very well. It is definitely the same brightness as 100 watt bulbs I have elsewhere in my home. There is no warm up time as there is in CFL bulbs, when you turn it on you have full brightness.
This review is for Great Value LED Light Bulbs 14W (100W Equivalent), Daylight. Wow! These are my very first LED light bulbs and they are bright. I've been using low light CFL bulbs for so long, I'd forgotten how wonderful it is to have bright light in the house again. These bulbs give off a hue that is more blue than yellow which means they give off a light that is more "cool" light than "warm". In addition to saving on energy costs, these bulbs will last up to nine years. I'm using one in the light next to the chair I sit in to crochet. It's so much easier to see the stitches now. I'm also using one in the light in my bedroom which has made putting on makeup not only easier, but more true to how it will look when I go outside. Definitely a good choice to select these light bulbs.
I can't say enough about these light bulbs. I have a fairly dark house because not a lot of light gets in and these really lightened it up. I was trying to put a bulb in the kitchen light and literally dropped the bulb from about 7 ft in the air onto a hardwood floor and it didn't break, it just bounced. And it still worked. Still TBD if it will last 9 years or more. Love these.
I was looking forward to trying out these LED Light Bulbs. They are the equivalent of 60 Watt incandescent Light Bulbs and emit a very nice natural soft-white light. I put them in my bathroom fixture where skin tone is important and they did not disappoint. They gave a very nice glow without harsh shadows. They claim to have a 10,000 hour life and actually use 9 watts of power. If I didn't know better I would have thought they were regular incandescent light bulbs. They give off such a nice light! I'd recommend these bulbs to anyone who is looking to save energy, have a nice soft-white light, and have a long-lasting bulb.
True to rating 100 Watt Equivalent. These are the first LED bilbs that were what they were rated. These are very bright and are true daylight bulbs. They light up my bedroom and living room bright. I have not tested them to work on a dimmer. I did put one above my stove in the hood. It sure did light up the kitchen area and especially the stove. They are a solid construction, I dropped one on a hard floor, no damage, did not effect lighting. Great safety feature for kids that might accidently knock over a lamp. Or a big kid like me that might knock over my tall standing lights. Very pleased with these bulbs.
The Great Value LED general purpose, 60 watt equivalent, 9 watts actually used, soft white, non-dimmable light bulbs are the future of lighting your house. These light bulbs put out the same amount of light as the old 60 watt incandescent light bulbs did but use 85% less power. They will fit into all of your light sockets just as the old energy wasting light bulbs did. These LED light bulbs do not get hot to the touch. They last longer (up to 9 years) than incandescent bulbs and save up to $1.08 per bulb per year. The Great Value LED light bulbs are really a great value. Their cost is so reasonable that anybody can afford to upgrade their house to these light bulbs and in one year they will pay for themselves in energy savings. Walmart offers LED light bulbs in any size of watt rating you may require for your needs. I am on the way to changing out all of my light bulbs to the Great Value LED energy saving light bulbs.
Purchased 12/5 and installed immediately. However, despite packaging saying they will last up to 9 years with 3 hr use per day, two of these bulbs lasted just over 2 months. I checked them in other light fixtures and they are so dim (and flicker at that) that they give no illumination - and they're supposed to be 100 watt equivalent! Very disappointed!
Great bulbs if you enjoy changing light bulbs and within a couple of months buying more. You will start to get a random flicker from time to time then nothing at all. Have had several since previous homeowner had them all over the house. Bought a couple of packs thinking maybe he got some bad ones and the house was built in 2014 that maybe they have been in here since new. From my experience since they have likely been changed about a dozen times or so since they built the house. Will not be buying more. Have had good luck with GE so far. They need to change 9 year claim to 9 hours…..Literally
