I don't know why I didn't try this sooner! This is such a good, quick thing to eat. I wish they sold these in packs! My photo looks like less comes in it, but that's because I had already started eating it. Lol
These teriyaki tuna bowls are very tasty and filling. Perfect for taking to work because they don't need refrigeration and they come with a spork! As other reviewers have suggested, I added a little bit of water to the rice before microwaving and it steams/fluffs up very nice. I returned to Walmart to get more of these for the week and they were sold out :( But it afforded me to try the Sweet Chili Flavor and it was just as amazing with a kick of heat! These are now my DAILY meal at work and you can't beat the price.
these are the best. i have tried three of the different tuna bowls and this one is my favorite. it is very tasty. i think because of the teriyaki flavor i like it so much. Mediterranean tuna is my second preference and sweet chili is my third preference. i also like that its quick to make so i take them to work with me. and that it is low fat high protein. i always order a few at a time because they sell out so quick.
I'm an online shopper for a local Walmart and saw this new on the shelf yesterday so I had to try it. I was not disappointed. I tried this one and the Mediterranean one so far and they are both delish! Packed full of flavor, tons of protein, and filling to boot. I'm not a huge tuna fan but I highly recommend them. yum
I freaking love these teriyaki tuna and rice bowls. It's literally my favorite go to lunch. For starters, it heats in 60 second and comes with a spork. You can't get easier than that. It's a very generous portion so having only this for lunch is plenty. That said, of course you could add some veggies or something to it as well. It tastes delicious! There is very little fishy taste at all. The teriyaki sauce is amazing. I realize the appearance is not that appealing, but I'm sooo glad I looked past that because this has become my favorite meal when I'm in a hurry or unmotivated to cook anything. I seriously eat it almost every day. The only negative is that I have trouble finding them. For instance, all of my 5 local stores are out of stock and I haven't even been able to order them to be shipped either. Granted, I know there are shortages everywhere so I'm not complaining. I'm just rationing so I din't run out as quickly. (Seriously, I love these that much.) When I do find them in stock, I usually order 24-36. To summarize, the only negatives are 1. the lack of visual appeal—which no longer bothers me at all and 2. The lack of availability. Other than that, these are a delicious, hot meal, full of protein, they fill me up, they're ready in 60 seconds and they're cheap. I could not recommend more.
I mix the rice with the tuna and put some on seaweed. Tastes like sushi!
These are good but the last time I got one the rice turned black, and it wasn't even close to the expiration date. I found a cut in one of the sides. My local Walmart needs to be more careful. I sometimes give these to my 3 year old. Please be aware.
these were great when they originally came out all my kids loved them now they are just gross 😝 the rice is hard it does not mix well and they removed the garbonzo beans. now i just wasted my money on glorified cat food because now noone in my famly likes them 😑 the dont even look good any more.
Looks, smells, and even tastes like cat food smells. but with a hint of teriyaki. It was edible once microwaved, but not something i'd buy again.
The tuna wasn't bad, when I first bought them I thought oh my gosh it looks like cat food and was kind of grossed out by that fact. The tuna was the best part, THE RICE WAS HARD AND UNDERCOOKED. 😭 only ate half of it, because I couldn't get over the rice.
