WalMart ask me to provide a truthful review of this product, be it good or bad and that is exactly what this is. At first I was concerned it was another telescoping handle and I’ve had bad experiences with telescoping handles on paint rollers and pruners and brushes, etc. but was surprised the handle is removable sections so I had no problem with it being weak. It just snaps together (see enclosed photo) and is stiff enough to do the job but yet you can take it apart and it takes up very little space when stored. It comes with both dry and wet cloths (see enclosed photo) and I used both. One wet cloth cleaned my entire kitchen floor and a few days later I used a dry one to dust the kitchen and the front entryway. They did a good job. The way you secure the clothes is simple and effective. Good job on that engineering. Now the bad, or at least something I think would be a simple improvement. The wet cloths do not come in a reclosable bag so I folded the package in half and it fit in a sandwich size ziplock type bag to keep them from drying out. Would I recommend it? You bet.
This versatile wet & dry mop definitely lives up to its brand of "Great Value". So easy to put together and unbelievably sturdy. The top of the handle has a swivel notch so no matter how you hang it, it hangs flat. It has a very slick swivel on the cleaning pad that makes it easy to get to those hard to reach places on hard surface floors that a vacuum can't manage. The dusting pad collects and holds dirt very well. The surface of the cleaning pad is soft so you know will not scratch your flooring. I like the serrated holes that hold on the wet or dry cleaning cloths are very nicely designed. They grab the cloths very well yet don't pinch your fingers. Both the dry and wet cloths are amply sized and not skimpy so when they are connected, they stay put. This mop is a great too for dusting cobwebs along the ceilings indoor and I use it to dust bugs off the edges under my carport roof. Although the directions do not mention using the wet pads to clean glass, because it is lightweight with a sufficient reach, I've used them to clean my windows without having to climb on a ladder. Hose the window, wipe it with a wet pad, then rinse.
I am always hesitant to try "store brands" but this time it worked out great. The wet/dry mop sweeper is made just like the name brand but is a little bit less expensive. It comes with 7 dry cloths and 3 wet cloths. I like the fact that it comes with multiple cloths so you can actually try it out before buying the refills.
I own a Swiffer and the Great Value equivalent. To be honest, I find no difference in the two except a better price for this one. The dry cloth is amazing and holds debris in it until it's removed. The wet cloths are nice because they do not have a strong fragrance. They also come in a resealable pouch. I also love the pivoting of this sweeper/mop as well as a long handle for easy reaching under my kitchen table.
Ever since buying a house with a hard surface floor, these dry sweepers have been a life saver for dusting and regular floor cleaning. This Great Value kit has a pretty standard swiveling head with push-in sweeper pad retainers and soft base. The dry sweepers work just eh same as every other dry sweeper cloth out there picking up dust, ashes, dirt, debris, and pet hair trapping it until you replace the cloth. The wet mop works very similar and does a pretty good job cleaning the hard surface floors like tile, wood, linoleum, and even polished concrete. I'm not the biggest fan of the scent used for these wet mops, the best I can describe it as "hospital cleaner". There are better scented ones out there which I'll likely use, but overall this sweeper kit is great for just getting started in a home or apartment. I think it'd also be great in a small business too! The handle and mop are easy to assemble, just squeeze the buttons in, slide the shafts together and its done. The handle is long enough for me to use comfortably as a 6-foot tall adult. Its enough for me to use on my floors without bending over. The entire thing is so light and can be taken apart if you need to transport it or just want to put it away in a very small storage area too. If you have a hard-surface floor in your house, I'd recommend you get this kit which can accept just about any refill cloth on the market today.
So the item arrived and is nicely packaged and well organized. It comes with sweeper, dry cloths and wet cloths as well. My wife tried it and said it is one of the best sweepers she has ever used. The wet cloths picked up soooo much dust, dirt and hair that she couldn’t believe it. She also said the sweeper is a good height so you won’t have to aggravate your back. The only slight knock on the product is that the sweeper is a bit flimsy but will definitely do the job. All in all, we would recommend to family and friends. Thank you Walmart for designing another product that saves time and is a Great Value!!!
The Great Value Wet Dry Sweeper Kit comes with wet and dry refills. It works extremely well, I would recommend to always use the great value refills. They do seem to work better the best. Also, the pole of the sweeper is pretty long and that reaches under furniture and up high for dusting. Very happy with this product.
This sweeper mop came nicely packed in a strong box with instructions and photos on the box, very well displayed. Enclosed were seven dry cloths as well as three wet cloths. One easy snap in pole with good grip handle, made of aluminum, lightweight which makes it easy to maneuver. It privots be easily around tables and chairs, which is a big seller for me. I use this sweeper in my kitchen, bathroom and entryway. It can also be used on different types of floors, wet or dry cloths will catch and hold dust, dirt, pet hair. I have found that this Great Value Sweeper works so much better than a standard mop, especially the dirty throw away cloths. So handy and cleaner to use. I would highly recommend this sweeper to anyone who wants to make their lives easier. Thank you for the opportunity to review this fine product.
