I found that yes it does reduce glare, but it also very hard to install. Specifically it's very hard to get it lined up correctly and installed without getting any little bits of dust stuck underneath it. If I had it to do over again, would I still buy it......maybe.
first of all it's an anti-glare thing so it reduces the glare when it's really bright, it's easy to tell the difference. it was easy to install, however one have to spend a lot of time on it to get it on the screen perfectly without any dirty stuff. it protects the screen a lot, without this the AW screen would just be like a piece of glass and is easy to get dirty and damaged.
Pros: Minimal noise and distortion of the screen. Fairly sturdy, doesn't scratch easily. Slick surface makes cleaning easy. Cons: Doesn't reduce glare much, but it is an improvement. Tedious to install. tl;dr: It will help, but it's not perfect. Seeing as how this is the only anti-glare screen protector available for the M14x, you don't really have much choice. Installing was finicky, as I couldn't get access to somewhere completely dust-free. In the instructional videos on their website, they show that you can lift up the protector with a piece of tape, but it sticks much stronger than that, so stronger tape would be necessary. I did manage in the end to get it on virtually speck free, and there are no noticeable dust particles. The biggest problem is with the screen itself, where there appears to be a millimeter between the front glass and the LCD itself. this leads to weird shadows on the screen if it's in direct light and a slight reduction in sharpness.
the anti glare screen didn't fit properly over the whole screen and it had dust particles in it that caused bubbling. I had to throw it out cause it was worthless.
First it doesn't fit the screen it went over the edge of laptop by 1" on one side and .05" on the other side. Instructions were poorly written and needed a magnifier to read. It was a bit expensive to fit my small laptop. I returned it due to imperfect fit.
