Better saw than I expected. For an electric saw it cuts through hard wood and large diameters (10-12" so far) without much effort. Light compared to a gas saw but gets the job done.
More than exceeded my expectations! Purchased it for pruning and light limb cutting, but it's capable of much more! The warranty and customer service is great! T.S.
The saw performs well on small branches and trees. Easy to operate and a nice sharp chain. Good for trimming and taking down small trees. I wouldn't want to cut anything bigger than about 10" diameter with it, but most jobs are less anyway. The chain is automatically oiled. Seems like it uses a little more oil than I would if doing it manually.
My frist purchase of a electric chainsaw and we are pleased with it. might be able to use this one better then the gas ones as sometimes they are hard to start and to be able to get the mixture right for them to work
Great piece of equipment.
I'm a veteran gas chainsaw user but wanted to try an electric, lighter saw for small jobs around the house and for cutting bulk firewood off the back of my pickup. This Greenworks saw is a winner in design and overall performance. I looked at some other brands and decided on this one which proved to be an excellent choice. I especially like the separate chain adjustment and locking knob for the sprocket cover. Auto oiler works great, supplying very adequate lubrication. You won't go wrong with this superior saw and Walmart's excellent shipping and return policies.
Excellent
I've had my chain saw 2 weeks and I've already used it a couple of times and have loved it. Literally I have cut down 9 trees and there haven't been any issues. I talked to a lot of people at HomeDepot and Lowes and they all agreed that an electric chain saw is such an easier alternative from a gas chain saw unless you're cutting down huge trees for a living and I agreed 100%.
this saw has plenty of power an light weight i used it to cut a tree trunk down that was about 3 foot around it did just as good if not better than my gas saw.
Never having had an electric chain saw before, I didn't know quite what to expect. It is a lot heavier than expected. There were some electric chain saws about this same size that came with a pole for trimming trees and I can't imagine being able to hold this in the air on a pole. WAY too heavy for that! It cuts well. Goes thru the oil quickly, so have plenty on hand. So, other than using a lot of oil, it's a winner so far. Have only used it on a couple of small jobs, like trimming limbs away from the roof of the garage and cutting down a few overgrown bushes. Have plenty more jobs around the yard to tackle.
