You'll need to download and install EPOS Gaming Suite from EPOS Audio site, with the software you get the mode button auto presets to work. To help, it will show up in bottom right hand corner of your monitor what mode you're currently in. It sounds good and you can hear the difference in each mode. Give good high resolution stereo audio and simulated 7.1 surround sound on demand.

The downloadable program is easy to use, download install and read the provided information. The app has everything you need to get the best sound out of the device. With 3 built-in song profiles and an equalizer, finding the right sound is a breeze. You also get surround sound just use the program to switch between modes and you'll be listening to sounds/music the way they were meant to be heard.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Honestly I haven't really touched sound cards or external devices for any audio stuff but lately I am tired of wireless airpods dying on me and I started using some old Bose head phones and when needed for work I have a mod mic. Both the headphone and mic can be plugged into the gsx300. Honestly I am surprised at the difference this thing does. I rarely say I am impressed with new products as I'm pretty content with my equipment. This isn't a magic bullet but it quite a nice addition for my laptop. The volume knob has audible / physical clicks you can feel but you can turn it in either direction with no hard stops. What i like is that it controls the windows volume and I can use it as a physical volume switch and its been nice in the work from home space. The 3 major gripes I have are: 1. the button on the switch only switches preset's that are only available via the software. 2. this devices attracts fingers prints like crazy. 3. it uses a old usb micro b style. I wish it was USB C. these gripes don't take away from its functionality and i cannot dock any significant points for it as I feel that this can be address in a product update.

The software is excellent, ability to fine-tune everything, ergonomic dial with satisfying soft click turning. The sound quality is so much higher quality than the onboard sound card. It is easy to use and setup on the computer. Well, honestly, I really love this product. Highly recommended.

If it works for like consoles I could see it being more useful but on pc I'd rather just use a internal sound card considering the price point isn't that different. GSX 300 - External Sound Card Is rather small doesn't take up much space so that's nice, nice sound, and easy to hook up plug and play. Just not for me.
