I purchased these more than a year ago to touch up some old furniture and they get the job done remarkably well. It is exactly what it says it is 'Touch-Up MARKERS'. Keep in mind these are in fact made for touch up and they are furniture shades in markers. I'm not so sure I would suggest them for a huge amount of work to be done....for that one might need a sander first. For small areas, nicks, scratches, these work great. Guardsman does make more great products such as liquid scratch cover and also their filler pencils work fantastic. All are fairly priced and sold at Walmart online (in stores too). Also, much better price then the big box DIY stores.
works well
These markers are great for touching up wood cabinets! We use them in the kitchen, bath and magazines racks that our dog chewed!!!! The colors match all of our wood items. Quick delivery too!
Used to touch up poorly stained mirror frame. Worked well for me.
It's a quick way to get your furniture scratches to be less noticeable.
Works OK on small dings and scratches, but not for big scratches
I needed to touch up a black table and it couldn't cover the wood. The two lighter colors are kind of reddish.
very disappointed as I have some small scratches on a wood table and I tried each marker and it looked like a marker mark on the table and they did not repair scratches at all
I hated this purchase for many reasons; 1. I thought these would be a stain type pencil, but they were a marker. A colored paint. I tried them in an area where it wouldn't be seen easily, and it failed. I feel bad for anyone who happens to use it in a visible area and expecting it to work, and when it doesn't trying to remove it and finding they cant. It will make a problem area look worse and cheap. I had also ordered Old English stains for light and dark wood, and they worked MUCH better. 2. This Item was shipped to me in a 8x8x8 Box from Walmart. 8x8x8? WOW. I had bought three items total, and this came alone in that huge box when it could (SHOULD) have been shipped in a small, padded envelope. What a waste. A waste of the Cardboard (tree), the man-power to make the box and the space in transportation and the gas to deliver it. Seriously, this was a great example of inefficiency. My Suggestion is to avoid this item. The odds you will match the PAINT color are slim.
