bought this as a xmas gift for my husband he loved it very much.... also very convenient haVING IT SENT 2 WALMART for free shipping.would definately recommend to a friend....
I bought this as a Chirstmas gift for the house this year. My children are 10, 11 & 13 and we absolutely love this item. We all play together. It's a great way to have family time without boring my teenager. :) The price is definitely worth the many hours of fun you'll get out of the product. We starting having fun Christmas afternoon and we were still playing until 1:30 am the next morning.
Of all the Christmas gifts, this one has definitely been played the most. My kids can't seem to put it down. Even though it is almost $200, it seems to be well worth it. We even have friends coming over to play it. Sure winner if you have more than one child/teenager or one with many friends!
This product is awesome and exceeded my expectations. I brought it for my son, but it turned out that we all enjoy it. The only downfall is the amount of songs that are on the system that we don't actually know, that part is a struggle but is still fun and engaging.
It's almost excactly like playing Rock Band. This band kit will deal with anyone striking rich and whoever gets in it's way. Guitar hero, drum hero, bass hero, and singstar is all four based to this story line.
This is what I was looking for to spend time with my kids and participate in the game they love. I’m not as skilled as my kids with the PS3 (actually I’m not skilled at all), but I can play the drums set for hours with them and have fun with the music I love. With this game each family member can chose from the guitar, the drums set or singing with the microphone, we play great rock music and we can download them as well. Perfect for families!!!
This is a good product as far as the game is concerned but the drums and mic are not high quality. The drums were broke wiyhin a week. Just buy the game and the guitar!
This game has certainly hit the full band experience by force. The areas of interest include the equipment, the song selection, and the over all experience. When I began using the equipment, I had noted that the equipment for the RockBand series were better in multiple aspects, but primarily in basic functionability. The Guitar Hero instruments took more getting used to and were much more tempermental than the RockBand instruments. In all fairness, the format of Guitar Hero tends to be loads more appropriate for this kind of game. In all basics, the game counts the notes correct when you play it correctly, even if your timing was slightly off. The touch bar on the guitar was incredibly sensitive so much to the point that I had to turn it off in order to complete a song without missing notes due to the slider bar malfunctioning and making me miss notes. It is, however, on a positive note that I can easily appreciate the strum bar. This strum bar is certainly the better of the two games, and I certainly hope they do not change it in the upcoming games. The drum kit....wow. I do not mean that it a way that would make the fine people of guitar hero happy. The RockBand kit is definitely the better buy here, as it is more user friendly, as well as the expansions make it feel more like a real drum kit. The Guitar Hero kit, not so much. I was disappointed with it. Secondly is that of song selection. I bought this game because of the song selection. I can easily say that this is the primary reason about why I would have bought this game. What wonderful staff member of Guitar Hero thought to put multiple songs of TOOL in this game?!? More importantly was the concept that the game used official Tool artwork in order to create amazing backgrounds. Don't get me wrong, there were many other good songs here, such as Korn, "Freak on a Leash", Eagles, "Hotel California", and System of a Down, "BYOB". Although I must point out my confusion and distaste as to why they would choose a song by Willie Nelson. It is highly out of place and does not really belong with the song selection given, but whatever. Finally, there comes the point of the overall experience of the game itself. It does not recieve my full appreciation, as I felt as though we were somewhat let down by this game. The music creator was horribly let down by the instruments themselves, not because it was bad, but because of the malfunction of the instruments. I will give them hats off to the idea, as there were many aspects of it that were incredibly useful and interesting. Overall, this game was an interesting experience and was certainly an improvement over the previous game in a few ways. Overall, I rank this game an 8.5 out of 10.
Great product...they really should include the two guitars however, as with the WT pak.
Another great addition to the Guitar Hero series. It has a wide variety of songs from different genres. The drums are better than RockBand, they offer more of a challenge. Definitely well worth the money spent!
